Title: Tough guys in the NFL
Post by: PoopyfaceMcGee on August 31, 2006, 07:09:03 AM
ESPN's current frontpage story (http://espn.go.com/) - Donovan McNabb makes the list.
(Sorry, it's a pop-up, so I can't link to the photo gallery properly.)

However, you can see the 10 they picked HERE (http://sports.espn.go.com/chat/sportsnation/listranker?id=572) and vote on your order.

Also, Sports Illustrated put Jason Short on their list (http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/multimedia/photo_gallery/0608/gallery.nfl.most.feared/content.2.html).

Who are the toughest iceholes in the NFL?

Two guys I think should be on the SI list that aren't, are Runyan and Polamalu.  Runyan should be on that list over just about anybody and Polamalu should be on above Roy Williams imo.

I like the fact that Short made it to the SI list. He's probably one of the nastiest, craziest, STers in the league. A little miffed not to see BDawk or Runyan on either list. Roy Williams is a joke.

The ESers were all hating on the SI list yesterday saying that Taylor, hands down, is the most feared guy in the NFL, and truth be told, who isn't somewhat afraid of having someone spit in your face?

...especially when they've banged as many skanks as Taylor probably has.  Guys don't want to get the AIDS.

Short makes a great hit there, but so does...who?  Is that Trotter next to him?  They both kick ass on that clip.

What really makes the clip is that Short gets back up, turns around, and starts running after the next block before the farger he knocked out has enough time to finish rolling onto his face.

Short is one of my favorites.  I was lucky enough to get field row seats to the game at FedEx 2 years ago, like 5 feet away from the players, and Short is constantly twitching.  He really does look like he has a screw loose.

Toughest player in the league? He isn't even one of the top three toughest players on this team. Or on the defensive side of the ball on this team.
