Geek Test (http://www.innergeek.us/geek-test.html)
Save this for the next time :CF crashes.
I'm 22.28797% geek. A geek, but not quite a "total" geek.
Whether or not you take the test is probably more indicative than the results of the test itself.
4.something - I'm a poser.
I think most of the low scores are from people that don't actually read/take the whole thing.
6.1144% - Poser.
I thought this was funny, though: I have... built a nuclear device of some sort.

Yeah, a geek would probably think that, alright.
I make no bones about being a geek. Unlike many geeks, I'm also a drunk. Interesting combo.

Cool people don't read much or finish tests. Geeks do.
taking the test makes me a loser not a geek

Most people, like yourself, are neither cool (read: popular) nor geeks (read: smart).
Most people are boring, stupid, fat, and ugly. Let's face it. I'm only 1.5 of those or so. You're at least 2.5.
BTW, you drafted Carson Palmer #11 overall.
30.37475% - Total Geek. I'm actually surprised it isn't higher.
21.30178% - Geek I thought i would be higher too

You don't program, and you don't watch Trek. I'm surprised it isn't lower ;)
But I do roleplay, and I do watch Trek. Plus, I'd seen every single movie listed in that section.

i came in at 1.38067% - Poser and that depends on what they mean by "role playing" :paranoid
Not what you mean, Little Mermaid.

I would like to say that merely taking the test is enough to bump everyone up to extreme geek... taking the test because we found it on a message board that we spend WAY too much time makes us all dysfunctional.
I read a lot so the questions pertaining to reading caused my score to go from a shade over zero to the figure I posted earlier.
I've also seen most of the Star Trek and Star Wars television shows/movies as well as The X-Files. I dont think I've ever met someone who hasn't seen at least a few episodes of Star Trek or a Star Wars flick, so I can't see how that makes a person a geek. Dressing up as one of the characters definitely does and speaking an "alien" language fluently makes you a prime candidate for forced sterilization, IMO.
As far as the whole "role-playing games" thing goes, I'm not real sure what that entails. Can anyone shed a light on this?

And aside from my profession, I think I've seriously un-geeked myself from high school days.
