Title: Other team's preseason games
Post by: The BIGSTUD on August 12, 2006, 08:52:50 PM
I was watching the Saints/Titans preseason game on NFL Network.

Did anyone see Reggie Bush get a 45 yard run? It was his 3rd or 4th carry, and it was pretty incredible. He starts off going left, runs into a wall, then cuts all the way back and burns everyone down the sideline for a 45 yard gain.

This guy is going to be amazing.

A couple preseason moments good and bad:

- Vince Young got hurt, but walked off. Ankle sprain I think. He runs around way too much already. He's going to get killed out there.

- AJ Hawk got burnt bad by Antonio Gates on a play

- Aaron Stecker got hurt. Looked pretty serious. Leg/knee injury

- Adrian McPherson got hit by the Titans' mascot's driving cart on the way to the locker room. He got checked out by team doctors, but appears to be okay.

- Tony Romo started for Dallas and led them on a scoring drive with a TD pass to Crayton.

- Reggie Bush stood up Pac man Jones on one play. Pac man leaned in for a hard hit with all the momentum and Bush flat out stood him up.

- Philip Rivers looks pretty damn good out there

- Wali Lundy on the Texans looked pretty good

- Favre got sacked like 2/3 times in a row. The interior of that O-line sucks.

I wonder if Butch Davis can smoke Reggie Bush's hog any more than he did tonight?

Bush is actually someone worthy of it. Best RB I've ever seen coming out of college, and maybe the best player period.

ND Kalu had himself a sack tonight.

Tony Romo looks good at QB for Dallas

From the Titans MB

Quote"T-Rac was driving. I was sitting in the 5th row and saw the whole thing. The QB was standing and throwing passes to another player with his back to T-Rac and T-Rac hit him dead in the back of the legs and he rolled up onto the hood of the cart and fell off the side. 2 assistants that were riding on the back of the cart were also thrown off. The amazing thing was T-Rac didn't stop after the hit. He just kept going straight to the tunnel and never looked back. The QB laid on the field for a few and was helped off by a couple of Saints trainers. Also, it was not a golf cart, it was one of those flat bed John Deere carts they use to take injured players off with. That is much heavier than a golf cart. It was amazing to watch. I don't even think he knew he hit him. He never even slowed down. It was like watching an action movie."

Drunk mascot? :-D

that bush run was amazing. pure speed. oh and that collision with pac man jones was pretty even.  actually i would say pac-man stood up bush and almost knocked him over.  pretty impressive when a CB stands up a RB coming straight at them.

Tono Romo played the whole game for Dallas.  I wonder if that has ever happened before in a preseason game with the QB going the entire game.

I used to have Time Warner, and they didn't have NFLN either.  Many cable networks are "protesting" NFLN because they're upset that the NFL has not given them the ability to add Sunday Ticket to their PPV options.

I've had DirecTV since February, though, so I get it all now.

Sunday Ticket is the salvation for all out-of-town fans.  :yay

It bags me up when Cable companys are punishing they're own paying customers to try and prove a point.  Its going to get hairy for those without NFL Network after Thanksgiving when games will be on NFLNetwork Exclusively.

TD to Driver

Kornball:  "Cincinnati isn't happy, but everyone else is happy that Favre threw that touchdown."

Now ESPN has a super extra extreme slow-mo camera to show how ugly Favre's form is...

Totally, Rome. Totally.

I mean. Look at that defense there. They're clearly telegraphing their blitzes so Carson could pick them up and adjust to them so he wouldn't get hurt again.
