Dear Michael:
We would like to inform you that the 2006 season ticket books are in the process of being shipped to all account holders via Federal Express and UPS in an effort to get your tickets to you as quickly as possible. We anticipate all tickets to be delivered by Monday, August 7th.
Thanks to you as well, IGY. I forgot they started using FEDEX...they're cutting it a bit short witn an 8/10 game this year.
Someone, somewhere, will be on the news in tears of rage because they didn't get their tickets in time to see a preseason game. By see a preseason game I mean in their own home after they sold the tickets to their dumbass neighbor.

i'll let you know where to forward them after we see the starting WRs in houston
someone just called up the mid day show and said they just got their tix
im getting excited....
Did you guys catch the section of the letter that pertained to the e-mailing of tickets?
It's free during the preseason but they charge you $3 to do it during the regular season. I love it. They're like drug dealers who give it up initially for free and then charge you when you get hooked.
(Yeah - over the top, I know, but it's still funny.)
i hate season tickets holders
what do you mean by emailing tickets?

If you mean to say that you're jealous, then I agree completely.
Edited - obviously you did get the letter.
Here it is in bold:

If you have any questions, or do not receive your tickets, please contact our ticket office team at 215-463-5500, or email tickets@lincolnfinancialfield.com.
In the event that this delivery date impacts the time needed to distribute your tickets for the first Pre-Season game, we are offering a new online service called Ticket Forwarding. This new service is easy to use and will allow you to quickly send your tickets via email to friends, family or customers.
To use Ticket Forwarding, simply go to www.philadephiaeagles.com and log in to "My Eagles Account". Click on "Get Started" to send your tickets via email. We are offering this feature free of charge for our home pre-season games. Please feel free to use this feature as often as you need to for the Cleveland or Pittsburgh games. For all other Eagles home games, the cost of this service is $3 per ticket.
Thank you for your patience and continued dedication. We look forward to seeing you at Lincoln Financial Field for an exciting 2006 NFL Season!
Apparently we can now e-mail our tickets to whomever for $3 starting with the Vadges game.
Preseason games are free ostensibly to get used to the system.

Who're you, Jeff Lurie??! Comparing the Eagles to a drug cartel ala Lurie comparing Micky Mouse to a drug cartel a few years ago. :-D
^^^ I'm thinking 12 alabama slammers (with SOCO) for this one tonight, minimum. ^^^
:D
I told Beermonkey about tht bartender stiffing us and told him he'll have to bring a few gallons of them to the Dallas game this year.
That Dallas game is going to be out of control.
I can't wait.
I think we might have to start at 0600
im there
I'm going to light my TO jersey on fire.

Please make sure TO's in it.
I wish.
I'll make sure I egg the bus though. :)
I already looked into flights. $137 round trip coming in Saturday AM the 7th and leaving in the afternoon on Monday the 9th.
And yeah, I'm bringing the t.o. jersey with me. We have to come up with something more creative than burning them, though.
Maybe we could pin them to pieces of plywood and throw hatchets at them or something?
It'd be cool to get enough of them to spell out FARG YOU TO on the fence that lines the Wach lot so the busses see them as they come down Broad.

Game 3 – October 8 - Dallas – Love Juice
1 part gin
1 part malibu
1 part pineapple juice
we only have ONE 4:15 home game.... and it just so happens to be against Dallas.
Too bad they don't allow overnight tailgating anymore.

I anticipate throwing up a fruit-flavored rainbow.
That bartender was a trip. :-D
You'd think a party spending over $600 would get some respect from her. Not so much, apparently.
Maybe it was me saying out loud that a monkey could mix a better shot than her?
That's why you have to take the guesswork out when you go somewhere like that and not order mixed drinks.
Yeah, that's true. Not even that hayseed could screw up a Jager Bomb order.
And I also must give them props for not running out of Jager and/or Red Bull.
I ordered a jager bomb at a bar last weekend and they gave me a shot of jager and a shot of red bull with it.
I explained to them what it was supposed to be and they tried to charge me $5 for the red bull can and $6.50 for the jager.
I told them to keep it and ordered a 16 ounce dollar draft beer instead. Yuengling Lager too.
iceholes.
:-D
So, thanks to me, you've found a new drink to enjoy. You're welcome.
RIP Herb.
The local pub I frequent uses Sobe Adrenaline Rush instead of Red Bull. I like the taste better, personally.
The place I was referring to is a hoity-toity marina bar whose only redeeming characteristic is their dollar Yuengling pints.
That was cool though doing a shot in Herb's honor. I'm glad we thought of it. :yay
You thought of it.
You said: "Let's get everyone together to have one last drink in memory of Herb."
I heard: "....one last drink..."
Your only mistake was not thinking of it before the check was paid.
Herb would have wanted us to pay for it.
NOT. :-D :-D
Herb would have wanted the Philadelphia Eagles to pay for it, and then have you and I spend the $20 to get our wives and/or kids something unexpected that they'd enjoy.
Of course, we're bastiches, so we probably would have used it on a lap dance or something of the ilk if we didn't drop it on booze. So, I guess we made a good choice.

I assume this is the tickets.
I got that, too. I was wondering who the hell SMITH EDWARDS was. :paranoid
I received that e-mail last night, too. The UPS link says my tickets are due to be delivered on Monday, 8/7.
Not that it matters all that much, but I wonder why it takes them so long to get the tickets printed up and shipped when the schedule is finalized in April and the last payment on them was due in the beginning of June. I wonder if part of it is they wait as long as they can to see who is likely to be on the roster, since they've been putting individual player pictures on the tickets for years now.
Oh well, they'll be here soon, so football will be here soon. :yay :yay
let me repeat, i hate you all and the game
anyone get their tix yet?
they are on the truck for delivery as per the tracking number....I'll post when they get here
