everyone has a few big time movies that they have never seen
these are movies that were huge at the box offcie, critically acclaimed, big in our pop culture or all of the above
what are yours
for me two come immediately to mind
ET and fast times at ridgemont high
pirates - the porn
Fast Times
Along the Waterfront
Smokey and the Bandit
Lord of the Rings
So this is a thread to brag about the movies you haven't seen?
Great idea!
Lord of the Rings, Goodfellas, The Godfather.
I've never seen Titanic or Armegeddon, and I never will.
Although a movie I just realized the other day that I've never seen but want to is Heat.
Heat has been on encore quite a bit lately. It's a good movie, but not as amazing as everyone makes it seem.
It has one of the all-time best gun fights though. Deniro is great in it.
You aren't missing anything with Armageddon. It sucked bad.
i walked out of the theater an hour into the first lord of the rings and never saw a minute of them after that so i wasnt sure if i should count it or not
goodfellas AND godfather
do scary mafia guys frighten you
Just haven't gotten around to seeing them. I've had opportunities, but ended up doing other things. I'll get around to watching them eventually.
Titanic
Any Harry Potter movie.
The last two Lord of the Rings movies.
I saw the first lord of the rings and the first harry potter and neither of them made me want to watch any of the sequels
As a rule, I never watch the movies that my students tell me I 'just got to watch."
8th graders have monumentally bad taste. :D
I've seen so few movies, it's ridiculous. I simply don't get into them like other people. I think many of you watch three or four movies a week. I don't watch 10 in a whole year, including home and at the theater. I just don't watch them. There are video games to play.
I've never seen a Star Wars movie. I guess that's the biggest movie(s) I haven't seen.
Off the top of my head:
Tombstone
Fast Times at Ridgemont High
Swingers or is it Rounders (The one you guys brag about "classic" Vince Vaughn)
PCU
and actually... Tombstone, Rounders and PCU are sitting in my TiVo just waiting for me to watch.
Glengarry Glenn Ross. Which my friend told me is really good.
And also I have not seen Ray.
Never seen the Harry Potter or Lord of the Rings movies. Not a fan of those type of flicks so why bother?
Still haven't seen Spiderman 2 and don't plan on seeing it. The same goes for the Focker sequel. I'd sooner gouge my eyes out with a fork than watch anything Barbra Streisand stars in.
Also...
Mission Impossible: 3, the latest King Kong movie and last but not least, neither of The Mummy movies. The cockroach thing freaks me out more than a little.

And you live in FLORIDA?!?!?!? :-D
There's a difference between seeing one or two and seeing hundreds of thousands of them spewing out of someone's mouth.
It freaked me out, dude.
That kind of thing always does in movies. That's why I avoid them.
Same goes for movies about the Devil & nuclear war. I have nightmares for days afterward.
PS: I'm a big girlie man. :-D

Thanks for saying it so I didn't have to.
I knew it would be coming anyway, so...
Did you cry at the end of Beaches and Steel Magnolias too? ;D
Add two more to the list.
:-D

Indeed you are.
I go to movies that bother me, for the express purpose of them giving me nightmares.

I've had Munich at home for over a month. It's such a committment to watch a 3 hour movie that I never have the time.

i just did the same thing.
according to netflix i had it for 6 weeks. i watched about an hour of it 2 weeks ago, and then mailed it back.
Any Harry Potter movie
Any LOTR movie
Godfather III (though I've seen I and II plenty of times)
Pretty much everything that wins an Oscar for Best Picture, with a few exceptions
Mean Girls
I haven't seen it.
Was this supposed to be a list of movies we want to see?
No, I just hate Lindsay Lohan and everything associated with her.
Especially Fez.
"Mean Girls" Lindsay was hot, and illegal. Lindsay now is much less hot.
Rachel McAdams is reason to watch
I would accept a McAdams / Lohan sandwich circa 2003. No doubt.
You're lying to us and yourself if you say you wouldn't accept one of those circa 2006.
Fine. But given the option, I'd go '03.
So, you'd accept one circa 2006 but seek out one circa 2003.

I'm far too lazy to seek out anything. I would accept either and be more excited relatively with the '03 sammich.
I have Ong-Bak: The Thai Warrior and Hard Boiled waiting to be watched. After that I'm laying off Asian movies for a while.
