As I mentioned before, my wife's cousin-in-law is a NFL agent. He has a few players on the Eagles that he represents. During dinner tonight, he gave me a couple of tidbits I thought I could pass on.
Jamal Jackson signed a contract today for 8 years that should be announced tomorrow. If you ask me, that's quite a statement about who has the upper hand in that postion battle (although he couldn't confirm what the Eagles are planning). Secondly, he said that the Bunkley contract is very close, and should be announced within the next few days. He didn't give me money number on that one, but did say it was a 5-year deal.
I can't say who my wife's cousin is or who he represents, but this is pretty reliable info.
Just wanted to pass it out there.....
I just wish you weren't a liar.
Sounds good?
I think that sounds good. The Bunkley signing is the last rookie, and just in time.
rjs -- eat my balls.
Well struck.

I'm a unit manager. People fear me!

Get back to your poker game, dork.
And wasn't McNabb's extension like a 10 year contract or something?
actually McNabbs was 12 years and Kearse was 8.
Ah yes, so were both wrong. Perfect.
and Welbourn also got an 8 year deal... ha.
I was hoping to get Bunkley for 6, but I guess the difference isn't worth crying about.
Good call. WIP just reported that John Clayton said we signed Jackson to a 5 year extension worth 13 million.

I believe the new CBA states that teams can only offer up a 5yr deal for the spot where Bunkley was taken.
Also,
great news on signing Jackson. I am a fan of his. LIked Hank, but his time is up.
Good scoop, Demon.
Now get the scoop on the Dawkins deal. Kthanxbye.
This signing probably means that Hank is done...and will only be around as a backup for Jackson if he even makes the team.
You don't say.
I think Jackson will be cut before the first preseason game
im still waiting for lecharles bently

nice. i thought there was some caps lock in there somewhere, but i didn't feel like checking into it.
anyway...nothing on Bunkley yet? it's probably too late for him to report tonight, right? unless he got a hotel in Bethlehem somewhere anticipating a deal.
So what is it? 5 years or 7 years?

It probably has team options for the 6th and 7th years, or is structured so that he'll never see the last two years of the deal as it's structured now.
