Michael Eisen, of Giants.com, reports former Philadelphia Eagles head coach and New York Giants director of pro personnel Jim Trimble passed away from emphysema Tuesday, May 23, at the age of 88. Trimble coached the Eagles from 1952-55 and was the offensive line coach for the Giants starting in 1967. From 1969-81, he served as the Giants' pro personnel director and acted as a consultant after. Trimble also coached two teams in the Canadian Football League and is the co-inventor of the Y-shaped goalposts now used throughout the country. KFFL sends their condolences to his family and friends.
