Released per WIP. Battle for center is now a two-man race.
I dont really know if anyone thought he'd win the job anyways.
I think center is a 3 man race, between Fraley, Jackson, and that UDFA Cole kid. I think Jackson or Cole win the job.
I think Fraley will stick, even if he loses the competition for the starting position. He's a fantastic back-up, and still not terribly expensive (I think).

Not expensive at all.

650K salary this year. He can play center and guard. Do we have any OL that
cant play more then 1 OL position?
Tra Thomas and Jon Runyan
And Adrien Clarke.
Awesome.
Andy seemed very high on Nick Cole. Wouldn't be surprised if he makes the team. He's only 6'0 but he's 350.
thats just plain wrong to be that big at that size

just because andy or heckert says a lineman is multi positional doesnt make it so...fraley for example cannot play guard he would be bitch slapped there...it remains to be seen whether someone like herremans could play guard...
Fraley got bitch slapped at Center, so technically he can play guard.
tru indeed...tho exposure would come at an even greater level at guard
It would be interesting to see him play guard against a 3-4 defense.
How do you figure that? Is Center not much more difficult to play than guard? Call the blocking assignments, hike the ball, get your head up before contact, etc. You're a lot busier mentally, and a lot more vulnerable physically, at center than you are at guard.
if fraley ever played guard at his size...he would get pummeled. Mahe would be our featured back

As if Mahe getting blasted would be a bad thing.
Furio getting the axe is only surprising in the fact that it happened this early. I knew with both Justice and more importantly Jean-Gilles coming in, he'd be one of the guys on the outside looking in.
Center was a 2 man battle before this guy got released...
this really stinks, what am i going to do with my furio jersey now?
QuoteDolphins | Furio claimed off waviers

The Miami Dolphins have claimed OC Dominic Furio off waivers from the Philadelphia Eagles. The Dolphins pick up the last two years of his contract that contains base salaries of $275,000 (2006) and $310,000 (2007).
What a move.
Hey, it's a better signing than Marcus Vick.
They love signing our centers who aren't very good.
Alonzo Ephraim and now Dominic Furio.
Maybe Hank Fraley is next?

and the eagles like starting centers who arent very good
