nice, i'm bringing my dog to camp with me.
man...i farging bust out laughing on that one...
Amazing.
Nice story. Let's hope that he is right and can make it back fully.
Him and Bloom could be dangerous
Great news for Reed.
i didn't need the gruesome details of the accident though. but this is why whenever i see a dog i kick it in the throat. it can't chase me if it can't breathe
I was totally shocked to hear he even had a chance to come back & can't imagine the pain & mental suffering he had to endure to even get to this point.
At least at this point, the vibe surrounding the team is more upbeat going into mini & training camps than it was last year & hopefully some positive stories like this, will quiet all the TO-related bullshtein.
I will be rooting for him big time. That would be an amazing story.
And I agree, BM. The mood is much better than a year ago.
Wow, I can't imagine trying to come back from an injury like that. Here's hoping he does indeed make it all the way back to playing a game.
the eagles are throwing him a bone by inviting him to camp...he has a .005% chance of ever playing football again
would be a great story, but i'll believe it when I see it.
He stole C-Bucks magic, miracle shot. Back to the IR for Bucky.

Good point!
I can't feel my foot but I'm going to play professional football. Specifically positions that require cutting and power. Makes perfect sense.
Idiots.
Your miserable attitude is refreshing.
Think Steve Austin. He had no feeling in either foot, but man could he fly.
I never could understand why his body didn't cave when he lifted heavy stuff. It's not like he had a bionic spine.
I'll be shocked if we see him at all this season.
We'll see him in one of those snazzy team jumpsuits on the sidelines.
So they'll have to show his highlights in ultra slow motion and have that cheesy "dat dat dat dat dat dat" sound in the background.
Man I love Reed. He played with so much heart and could of been a hell of a player. Its really a sad story. Hm as kick returner, Bloom as punt returner :yay
His leg sounds seriously farged though. I am glad they are giving him some hope. Otherwise he needs to get over it and get on with another career.
What kind of Kool-Aid are Reed and Buckhalter drinking? Why would any sane coach take on charity cases in the NFL? Dude's a cripple. Move on.
Perry did all right as KR last season. We'll be fine without limp foot.
Yea! Join the rest of us gimps who have to get real jobs! Next thing you know JR Reed will be in the general section, bitching about his job too.
its a shame hes a kick returner...otherwise jeremy bloom would just heal him with his magical powers
I would love to see Reed make the team....would be a great story and he's always seemed like a great kid. I was happily surprized when I read about this yesterday.
Imagine a healthy JR and Bloom back there on kick returns....duel threats.

:-D
I think Reed has a job lined up at a football card design place. They had a big story on his obsession with football cards last year.
dominic furio to not be at minicamp
Why doesn't he just start a dog-leash business and get on with his life.
People don't write fawning, breathless articles about dog-leash businessmen.
Sure they do, but they're not the kind of people you really want to know.
I believe there was one in last February's bi-monthly issue of Dog Love magazine -

for instance, people who collect comic books well into adulthood, like me. :paranoid
It costs the Eagles almost nothing to let Reed take a shot at saving his career. I can't think of any reason not to let him give it a shot.
its not even a shot...its a we feel sorry for you invite to mini camp...i cant imagine hes even gonna participate in it..i think its a way to make him feel good...be a part of the team...pretend his career isnt over for at least a little while more

I think that's most likely the case.

He said he's 100%.
It's kind of tricky that he's "100%" and yet had to find just the perfect leg brace.
he certainly widens the definition of leg brace when he starts including gears, hydraulics, solar panels, extensions cords and rubber bands.
And duct tape. Don't forget about the duct tape.
He just needs to put some 'tussin on that leg and he'll be fine.
CSN did a segment on his return. He says he's been through 7 or 8 leg/ankle braces and at this point, he runs better than he walks....

Christian Welp used to hook up a Sears Diehard to his knee when he was on the bench. That might be an idea.

Yep. Sounds like 100% to me!
