You know what I notice up here in New England? No Dallas Jerseys. But there are a ton of Dolphins and Yankees jerseys. I alway thought Dallas had fans all around the country. But now that I am up here I've come to this conclusion. Every area has Jackasses that cheer for the hated rival just to get on everybodys nerves. Why is that? Are they anti-social? I still wear my Eagles gear up here but I lived down there my whole life. People who grew up in the Philly area who are Dallas fans or in New England and are Miami fans are just people who go out of their way to get on other peoples nerves. Can anybody in other areas of the country back my theory up?
Jackasses.
i dont think so...the two teams you mention happen to be classic very successful teams who for the most part owned the home team
miami vs ne
dallas vs philly
i dont think youll find to many new england fans in miami or philly in dallas
You find tons of Cubs fans in St. Louis with no ties to Chicago. Just to be jack asses. I mean who outside of Chicago cheers for the Cubs?
Plus not all rivalries are two way.
It's impossible to test that theory using NFL teams in St. Louis. The rams have no real rivals, because they (and their fans) are so vanilla.
You aska Rams fan who their biggest rivalry is, and most will say the 49ers. Because the 9ers beat the Rams for like 19 games in a row or something.
1) How can the present-day 49ers be a rival to anyone, and
2) It certainly isn't a two-way rivalry.
Yeah I used baseball as an example. St. Louis is a baseball town. Every other sport is kind of an afterthought. Blues fans used to be Phanatics until the NHL screwed everything up with their game and the Lauries guted the team.

Not to mention that whole Danton-murder-conspiracy thing.

I actually like that whole story. It fools me into thinking I'm back in Philly when I think about all of that....
Well thats nice.
I was at the Oz in St. Louis when that story broke. Ironic.
There was the Flyer player who wondered over to the east side of St. Louis and got arrested with some coke and a hooker.... Can't remember who that was....
thats was kevin stevens but he didnt do it when he was on the flyers.....and he wasnt skiing he was smoking that rock
I just wanted to use coke and a hooker in a sentence. It's the little things in life that bring us pleasure...
