Do the Eagles even look at this aspect this year?
I didn't see how they could possible use all the picks they had already.
Oh course they will, as far as their picks the only guy that I don' think makes the team is Ramsey.

Wouldn't mind seeing them get Ross from Tarleton State, that actually may be the school I start going to here shortly to start working on my MBA.
Eagles | Not expected to bring in many undrafted rookies
Sun, 30 Apr 2006 16:27:56 -0700
Philadelphia Eagles head coach Andy Reid said the team has nine players allocated to NFL Europe, which likely means the Eagles will not bring in a lot of undrafted rookie free agents. "We are sorting that out right now, but it won't be as many as we have in the past," Reid said.
The Patriots signed Roach (Alabama LB)

Eagles sign FB Jason Davis.
Goddamn the Vikes got some good players. :o
As for Davis, he is a good fit for the Eagles because he is a good receiver. Not a big guy, but can catch and move well.

Eagles sign FB Jason Davis.
Sounds like the kid can catch by looking at that link. That would be a nice threat out of the backfield.
Jason Davis stuff:
Quote
POSITIVES: Athletic fullback who can be an offensive threat. Carries the ball with a punishing style and falls forward when tackled. Solid receiver out of the backfield. Patient pass-protector who stays square and anchors at the point.
NEGATIVES: Mentally hesitant picking up blocking assignments. Does not do the little things well and needs to be prodded.
ANALYSIS: Flashing skill, Davis has potential in a West Coast system where his versatility and athleticism can be maximized. Must give consistent effort before that will happen.
Doesn't sound like he'll be a FB. He's 5'10 and 225.
i don't want to see any undrafted free agents on the final roster.
Not even Rod Hood?

Yup, that big white goofy fella.
I was signed by the Rams? ???
i dont either but fullback is the one spot where you you can live with it as it wouldnt take a whole lot to improve the position....i mean youre replacing an udfa

Actually, you're replacing an UDFA LB.
true indeed...which should make it even less difficult
Spadaro:
QuoteI have the list, but I haven't been given the OK to publish it. They signed nine guys. I won't give you names, but they signed a Center, TE (I think, it says WB, whatever that is), FB, OT, WR, CB, WR, OT, SS. I've heard of only one of the guys because he played at Villanova ...
Obviously the FB is Davis, but the only Villanova name I saw was a DE. hmmm :-\
Update: the Villanova guy (and one of the WRs) is J.J. Outlaw (http://villanova.cstv.com/sports/m-footbl/mtt/outlaw_jj00.html)

Hmm.
He's born on Feb. 8 and is therefore awesome.
Saw the list of 9. We already mentioned two of them, but of the other 7....um...yeah.... :-D
At least there's another USC guy...
USC is an Eagles talent pipeline.

2 more announced (http://gobuffsgo.cstv.com/sports/m-footbl/spec-rel/050106aab.html)
West Texas
OT Pat McCoy
OT Dejuan Skinner
The other 4 colleges and sides, if you want to go find names:
USC defense
New Mexico State offense
Wisconsin defense
Louisiana-Lafayette offense
The list is up on PE.com, so here's the other 4 names:
Scott Ware (USC S)
Bill Sampy (LA-Lafayette WR)
Nick Cole (New Mexico State C)
Levonne Rowen (Wisconsin DB)

I would say that they have a good shot at making the practice squad. The Davis signing is the one that most intrigues me, he has decent size and obviously some very good pass catching ability.

No one else has said it, so I'll just point out that this kid has a better chance of becoming a quality NFL quarterback than Vince Young will ever have.
