For pick #119

I got the pick wrong, but he was traded to Minny for their 4th rounder.
Smoking baby Jesus on a stick, what a draft!!
We don't have anymore 4th rounders?
And 185.
It shows we have 185 too.
Always love the tactic of trading people who are going to cut for picks. Try not to draw any flags on the way out the door, dude.
:-D
I called it.
Check the Jean-Gilles thread.
Both posts from the MJG (http://www.concretefield.com/forum/index.php?topic=18259.0) thread, posted before the trade. Ha!

TRADE ARTIS :evil

See ya Artis.
Minny gave us 109 and 185 Hicks
So we got TWO fourth rounders for Artis Hicks?!?!?
http://nfl.com/draft/drafttracker/trades
We dont have anything left from the trades. We got 115 and 185 for Hicks and pick 127. We traded 115 and 185 to 109 for Avant.
I KNOW STUFF
Here's how the trades go:
- Eagles get: 4th round, No. 115; 6th round, No. 185
Vikings get: 4th round, No. 127; G Artis Hicks
then
Eagles get: 4th round, No. 109: Jason Avant, WR, Michigan
Packers get: # 4th round, No. 115; 6th round, No. 185

No, I farged up again, here's the deal:
Eagles Get
4th round, No. 115
6th round, No. 185
Vikings Get
4th round, No. 127
G Artis Hicks
So, what exactly did they give up along with #108 to move up to #99? Just Hollis?
Yes.
Not disagreeing with the WR pick this late, but I would have rather have held onto Hicks. He's versatile and can fill in anywhere.
So this deal was Hicks and pick 127 for Avant.
I wonder if the Eagles are going to be frequent traders with the Vikes now that Childress is HC up there just as we've been trading with GB alot.

Hicks sucked so bad last year. He was a rotating door to McNabb and when he wasn't, it was because he was holding and was called for it. Even Phreak, who LOVED Artis, admitted how bad he sucked.

Herremans
Jackson
Andrews
Runyan
Clarke
Justice
Jean - Gilles
No where for him
Hicks wasn't going to push any of those guys out. Obviously.

We don't need him anymore.

He had a bad year, no doubt, but I like having a versatile player like that. I wouldn't be surprised if Childress makes him a Tackle.

He's a better option than Clarke IMO because of his versatility and experience.
I'm no cap expert, but how much money did we free up by trading Hollis and Hicks?
Hicks sucked last year and as was said earlier, there was no more room on the team for him after the picks yesterday and today.
Neither one made that much...
SD,
Clarke is a G/T too. He played LT at Ohio State
All of the Eagles OL, well not all, but most of them are versatile players who can play two or even all 3 spots.
Scott Young and Trey Darilek better keep their resumes up to date. They're toast. Armstrong, probably, too.

Hicks will be a Pro-Bowler at Tackle under Childress next season in Minny. You heard it here first.

You know I am, and you should also know I was joking.
Chester Taylor will die a little inside if he has Artis run-blocking for him.

The lunch buffet line at NovaCare? yes.
Artis' agent is my wife's cousin, which was cool. Too bad, since I can't get any inside nuggets on Philly this year.
Hey, maybe he can hook me up with a couple of Vikings tickets!
Quote from: DemonchildrenOnTurf on April 30, 2006, 12:18:41 PMHey, maybe he can hook me up with a couple of Vikings tickets!
If you want team tickets, I'm pretty sure you gotta have a hook up with the head coach over there.
Andrews was on with Spads yesterday and he said that he keeps a picture of him in the all white uni's because he saw himself in all white last year and was digusted with how sloppy he looked. So he vowed to never look that way again and is now 30 pounds lighter.
I know SD mentioned he lost 30, but its nice to see him saying that.

D'oh... I should read all the posts before I reply. :D ^-^
Childress loving him sum ex Eagles.

Would it suprise you at all when a few Eagles who shake loose end up in Minnesota over the next few years?
Here's hoping that Mahe and Perry are wearing purple in the next few months.
i was out all day so i'm just now catching up on day 2 of the draft...hicks was absolutely brutal last season & routinely put #5's life in jeopardy. nice move getting rid of him.
It will be nice to watch Hicks get Brad Johnson and/or Mike McMahon killed for a change.
