According to ESPN News the Texans agree to terms with DE Mario Williams.
HoustonTexans.com has a full story. Wow.....
Eenie, meenie, miney, moe..there are three threads for this, which ones will go?
Yeah really I thought this was just purely posturing on the part of the Texans apparently it was not. I wonder how much this will shake up the draft? From what they were saying on ESPN New Orleans probably will take him now, that is a bit of a shocker too.

Yeah I didn't think my first one went through apparently I was wrong.
No doubt a friendly mod will merge. Tomorrow is going to be interesting.
I can't see the Saints taking him. How bad is what's his name hurt for goodness sakes. They have so many holes to fill.
I can see them trading down because somebody is ringing the hell out of their phone right now asking them to take their first three picks for Bush.
i was actually wondering if the texans would go with ferguson. i dont see the saints taking bush...will tenn?
Nope....they want a QB and already have Henry and Brown...
I would think the Jets would be trying to trade up to this spot furiously.
This is going to go down as the worst decision in sports history. Even worse than Bowie over MJ.

:-D Please.
The issue with this decision is that the Texans didn't trade out of the top spot. If they were set to take someone other than Bush, they should have traded down, not selected someone other than Bush with the first pick. Personally, I thought that they should have traded down to take Ferguson.
I think Bush will be the best RB to ever have played the game. I think Williams will be a good, not great pro. So, yes, I think it's a HUGE mistake. HUGE.
If true. I get a feeling something got leaked incorrectly here, and this is a fake story. No way Texans are this dumb. It's like me chopping off my penis for entertainment.

How the hell do you know that? RBs get hurt all of the time Williams could end up being one of the most dominant pass rushers ever. So calm down there chief.
I'm not allowed to project Bush?
I'll take it up a notch. It's so dumb, that if the Blazers went back in time knowing how MJ turned out, and took Bowie again, this Texans move would be even dumber.
That is how amazingly good I think Bush will be. Best college player I've ever seen.
I think with Reggie not going to Houston is the best thing that could have happend to him. If he goes to the jets and Mangini focuses on O Line he will have a good start.

That might be the dumbest statement you have ever made on this board. You certainly are allowed to project but jesus fargin christ man to make some lame ass analogy like you just have c'mon that is ridiculous.
Wow. I didn't think they actually had the cajones to do it.
I think the Jets trade up with teh quickness and get Bush at #2.

That was my very first thought when I heard.
Any chance Bush falls to 14? :paranoid
Boy whoever picked this in their mock draft for the contest likely already has won. I know I sure didn't think this was ever happening.
Well noone really knows how good Bush will be. It's all a guessing game and the Texans took a gamble. Big deal. Next pick please.
Adam Schefter over at NFL.Com says the texans balked at Bush' contract demands and took Williams instead.
They'll get more mileage out of a monster DE than a RB. Even one like Bush.

the saints probably wanted Mario Williams...so did the texans...the only thing the texans could do was get williams at the #1 spot.

i have bush going to tennessee...but i had the texans actually taking ferguson
I had Williams #1 in my first mock, then revised it twice with Bush at #1. :boom
lmao at comparing Reggie Bush to Michael Jordan. After Bush leads his NFL team to atleast 6 super bowl wins we can talk about comparing draft trades.
sal pal said the saints will take bush
Very, very interesting.
I've said for awhile that Houston should not take Bush. I thought they should've traded out to 4 with NYJ and taken Ferguson because they need OL in a bad way.
Is Mario worth the #1 pick? We shall see. But is the hype is right, and I think it is, he will be very good.
Now the question is, will NO take Bush? Sal Pal thinks so. And they should.
But they should also explore trading with the Jets if NY wants Bush.
Today is going to be fun.
Hey Phreak, if the Saints take Bush as is being reported, do you think McAllister may shake loose?
Nah, I doubt it.
He just signed a contract extension not too long ago and I don't know if the Saints would want to take the hit by cutting him. And if they tried to trade him then they wouldn't get real value because of the contract and the fact he is coming off of a torn ACL.
Sean Payton is an offensive guy. So my guess is that he would use Bush much like Houston was projected to use him and Domanick Davis and Vernand Morency.
Bush will be a jack-of-all-trades guy. He'll get some carries, split out wide, return punts, etc.
Gotcha. Just looks like it could get pretty crowded in that backfield with Michael Bennett, Duece, the other guy I forget his name and Reggie Bush.
Why do I have the feeling hey pass on Bush or trry and trade Mcallister?
I think they should trade that pick, move back two or three spots and take Brick. The Jets would love Bush.
I have a feeling that the Jets are going to make a play for that #2 pick. I posted the scenario in the Walker thread in the Eagles section.
New Orleans trades the #2 to New York
New York trades the #4 and #29 to New Orleans
New York drafts Reggie Bush
New Orleans drafts Ferguson (or someone else) at #4 and then trades #29 to GB for Walker
wow this is pretty damn big.
if im the saints i wouldnt know what to do right now. duece is coming off an injury, a pretty serious one at that. do i draft bush who could be a legend or do i trade him and fill other needs?
tough tough decision. i just hope the scenario phreak played out doesnt become true with NO ending up with Walker.

Adam Schefter over at NFL.Com says the texans balked at Bush' contract demands and took Williams instead.
He later reported that it was simply that the Texans felt both were elite talents, but they needed a DE more.
I also have to say it's hilarious how guys like Fat Len and McShay are ripping into the Texans hard. Bush is the better prospect, yes, but the two positions where the Texans have talent/promise are RB and return man.
The Texans must agree with my sentiment that Bush is going to be a bust.
First shock of the day, I must say.
Reggie Bush played hardball with the Texans and they simply shrugged and went the other way.
Nice.
Also - did someone actually post that Reggie Bush will be the best running back in the history of the NFL in this thread?
:-D :-D :-D :-D :-D

i don't know about that, but Michael Irvin said last night that this could be the move that keeps David Carr from getting into the HOF
WTF??? I guess he's just warming up for the draft coverage.
