As if Temple football could afford to take a hit like this... (http://sports.espn.go.com/ncaa/news/story?id=2349787)

Without clicking it I'm not absolutely positive, but I'll take a wild guess and state the information provided from the link will answer your question.

Nope, st00pidity.
QuoteFew big-name schools will lose scholarships as a result of the Academic Progress Rates report released Wednesday.
All this negative press is gonna get turned around when Al Golden showers wins on the program!
looks like MDS learns like he posts.
single handedly brought the intelligence level of an entire school
Golden showers? I'm starting that up. Let's make sexual references hidden in idiotic statements.
Boy..that'll kill those National Championship hopes.
There goes MDS's dream of walking on to the football team and earning a scholarship.

Well, you gotta have goals.
You're right. Who wants a jew on their team?

So much for his love life.
Thats what you think. My super social skills and charming wit bring in all the ladies.
Yeah, but they're paid ten bucks for it. And not because they're cheap whores, but because they're babysitters.
QuoteI want to share with you what, from my perspective, I have learned about Temple in my first three months and where Temple Pride can lead us.
Facilities
· The Café has the best food of any university dining service in my experience
· The SAC is not only efficient and well designed; it is the premier student center on the East Coast
· The TECH Center is the best and most technologically advanced building in the country - bar none!
· The 1300 Dorms are comfortable, contemporary and convenient
· Liacouras Walk is beautiful and represents the heart of the campus
· Liacouras Center is one of the leading on-campus convocation centers in the land.
· The strategic placement of a TGIFriday's restaurant, a movie theater and other retail shops on the corner of Broad & Cecil B. Moore clearly illustrates that the perception of TU and North Broad Street has changed - but it's just the beginning.
· New construction, coupled with our excellent computer services department has enabled TU to become the 4th most wireless campus in the country
· From the top down, Temple University is committed to building world class facilities -- That's not just talk; this is a half-billion dollar commitment!
· I have seen the architectural plans for Alter Hall and they are awesome - This will give the Fox School of Business & Management the platform necessary to break into the TOP 40 Nationally.
· I have seen the plans for the new Tyler School of Art to go up along Diamond - phenomenal!
· This extraordinary commitment continues with the construction of the new School of Medicine
Student Body
· This is clearly the most diverse university I have seen and the 2nd most diverse university in the country
· There are nearly 9,000 students living on or around the main campus
· Temple's SAT has gone up 100 points in the last 6 years and will be breaking through the 1100 threshold in the coming year. For 6 straight years the freshman class had better credentials than its predecessors
· We have a strong Alumni Group – 115,000 alumni live right here in the tri-state area
· Temple applications are at an all-time high - right now we are the hottest university east of the Ohio River!
· We are the 28th largest institution in the nation. That's right, 28th!
I thought the Temple-Duke basketball game was a true representation of what we, as a world class institution, should look like at a major sporting event. But it is just a start. Never settle for anything less than the electricity and energy YOU provided for your Temple Owls when they took the court vs. Duke.
Let every team that enters Owl Country know that "OWL EYES" are on them!
The Linc is a beautiful house...but we will need you to make it our HOME.
If you see me having lunch in the Café or in the SAC or walking on campus, please take a moment to say hello. Temple University is your University and I am proud to be your Football Coach. Spread the word - please forward this email to all of your friends – let everyone know the pride that we share in our great University, and encourage continued fervent support for all our student- athletes.
We are TEMPLE TOWN and this is TEMPLE'S TIME!
GO OWLS!
Sincerely,
Al Golden

when you batting leadoff with the food in the cafe, that's not good.
...and Al Golden used to work at PSU, where the food in the commons mostly sucks, especially anywhere that a coach would get to from anywhere near the practice fields. West had the best commons, but is on the other side of campus.
QuoteThe TECH Center is the best and most technologically advanced building in the country - bar none!
theres no way thats true
West Commons had the best food b/c more athletes were housed there. Commons food sucked piles of ass.
My 2nd and last year on campus, I used most of my points at the Hub on Chick Fil A, Sbarro, and Joegies. My roommate's mom kept refilling his points, so we pretty much ate off his card for the last 2 months of the school year.
Well, usually, I just had cigarettes and hard liquor and might have grabbed a sandwich at McLanahan's. Maybe.
This wasn't an open invitation for you hosers to start talking about Penn State. The only thing that little mountain college is good for is its football team, which was good for the first time in forever last year. I cannot wait until Temple goes up there in November and covers the spread. You will be so pissed off only winning by 17.
It's also good for stumbling around drunk all over town at any hour and not fearing for your safety.
Hardy har har. Seriously, the campus is safe. You walk four blocks in either direction, well then you might have some problems. But generally where the peoples houses and what not are located, there are no problems. Of course, you have to deal with cracked-out hobos and crazy idiot drivers on North Broad, but thats more entertainment than a hassel.
Team basketball.
