check out these names...pulled out of the 1996 draft (http://www.drafthistory.com/years/1996.html)...
Keyshawn Johnson Simeon Rice Jonathan Ogden Terry Glenn Eddie George Muhsin Muhammad Marvin Harrison Eric Moulds Ray Lewis Amani Toomer Mike Alstott Lawyer Milloy Brian Dawkins Tedy Bruschi Terrell Owens Jon Runyon Joe Horn Carlos Emmons Jay Riemersma
with lots of secondary names in it as well....Bobby Engram Kavika Pittman Aaron Beasley Brady Smith Moe Williams Donnie Edwards Orpheus RoyeFred Thomas
and there;s a surprising number of names that played for the eagles as well that werent drafted by them...Jon Runyon, Matt Stevens Mike Flanagan Paul Grasmanis
i wonder what the pre-draft ratings said about the overall quality before the draft. after 10 years, this group of names still stand out. and overall, 96 seemed to be a pretty good year.
well...at least the eagles got a few picks right

[IGY] Because he was drafted last in the seond round, Dawkins will suck, but will be a solid STs guy and a decent backup. He is black though, so he has that going for him.[/IGY]
There's been a lot of talk about '96 being the greatest WR draft ever...most recently in SI or ESPNtheMAG, I forget which. Not much to argue about with that statement, but I'm not exactly enthralled by the fact, much to Keyshawn Johnson's chagrin.
Amongst the final rounders:
Quote33 242 Carlos Emmons Steelers LB Arkansas State
Jason Dunn is a big reason why Priest Holmes and Larry Johnson put up such huge #'s. He is an excellent run blocking TE and would be a great compliment for Little John much like he is to Gonzo in KC.
Alex Van Dyke was an Eagle in 2000. Typical Kotite though. Keyshawn was a no-brainer, but to take another WR that early when they already had Chrebet....dumb. He went 1-15 that season... ;D

And we got who? Didn't the birds have Chris T. Jones and Fryar that year? I still think Chris T. had the makings of a stud but he got injured and was shipped off to Oakland were I do not believe he ever played - maybe a little.
I know we had Fryar that year and I beleive they had Jones as well. And yes, Jones went to Oakland and did play. A little.

It was SI. A co-worker and I were talking about this a month or so ago. That's a pretty nasty list of WR's... you can pull 2 or 3 HOF's out of that lineup.
Eagles WRs:
1995 = Barnett, Williams, Chris T. Jones, Art Monk, Rob Carpenter, Kelvin Martin
1996 = Fryar, Chris T. Jones, Mark Seay, Freddie Solomon, Mark Ingram, Williams (split with Baltimore)
I'll give it a 64.

Not only that, but I'm going to guess that Kennison and Engram are the only 2 on that list who have never been to the pro-bowl. The rest of those guys have been to at least one and most of them have been to a couple.
