Panthers 24 Seahawks 21
Denver 28 Pittsburgh 10
I'm feeling especially good after correctly predicting 3 out of 4 last weekend (how could I pick the Bears?)
Seattle 28 Panthers 10
Pittsburgh 23 Denver 17

You know you just screwed yourself, right?
24 - 20, Steelers
27 - 17, Panthers
Seahawks and Broncos. Neither by more than a TD or less than a FG.

That's one boring ass Super Bowl.
denver-pitt game is a no brainer...pitt wins just a matter of by how much
seattle-carolina is a lot tougher...i picked seattle over carolina at the start so i gotta stick with it...24-21 seattle

I ditto this one. Boring, yes. But that's how I think it will shake out.
After going 4/4 last week, I say Seattle and Denver win. I'm not predicting exact scores. Broncos haven't lost at home since Week 12 last year, the Seahawks haven't lost at home since Week 13 last year, I think those trends won't end this week. The Seahawks will double Steve Smith and I think the Steelers blew their load last week.
Pitt would win at sea level. Not a mile up.
I think the 'Hawks pull it out in Seattle, but not by much.
I think that it will be Seahawks and Broncos.
Mainly because I need it that way to win the Suicide League. ;)
Seattle and Pittsburgh. But I think you can make a case for any of the four to win the SB.
Seattle over Carolina: 25 - 17
Denver over Pittsburgh: 20 - 14
Seattle and Denver. Not picking points, thanks.
Sea over Car: 17-13
Pit over Den in an upset: 21-20. Actually, I think Denver will win...but this would be a better game ;). One thing's for certain, though: A QB with one of the worst beards in history will win the game.
Pittsburgh - 24
Denver - 20
I am rooting for the Steelers out of these four, I guess. I would like to see Jerome Bettis win a SB and win it in his hometown. Plus I like Joey Porter, Troy Polamalu and a few other Steelers. But if they win and Duce gets his ring maybe he'll be cut and come back here.
Seattle - 27
Carolina - 17
Everyone is swingin from the Panthers sacks because of their defense. Hello! Did you watch Rex Grossman, Muhsin Muhammed, Bernard Berrian and those other bums move the ball with ease last week? I did. Plus the Seahawks are going to shut down Nick Goings early and then feast on the pass.
Pissburgh - 23
Denver - 20
Carolina - 27
Seattle - 17
Both road teams win in close games
I don't want to see the Panthers or Steelers win, but I think they will.
I had a Pitt/Seattle SuperBowl on my pool. Looking good so far. I have Pitt winning it all.
I really thought Pittsburgh would hit the wall in the thin air in Denver. IMO, they can't be stopped now.
Nope, they're on a roll. They used the "us vs. the world" mentality perfectly. And Cowher and Whisenhunt must b commended too. They threw early and often and that surprised teams.
I think this SB will be a good one to watch.
id kill to have cowher as the eagles coach
steelers will beat seattle rather easily
i havent looked but heard that four was the early line...is that true phreak
I thought the Steelers would run more, too. And that's why I thought they'd lose.
Big backs run out of gas in thin air, good call to focus on the pass game.

Ed said it was 3.5 last night. On BOS.com it was 4.5 and I heard on TV that it was 4. Pittsburgh favored in all three.
As for Cowher,
I'm curious. Is it because he's a smashmouth style coach? Because the guy was 1-4 in AFCCG's (and lost 4 at home) and 0-1 in SB's. Now he's 2-4 in them with both W's on the road. Some Steelers fans have been killing him over the years and wanted him fired.
Reid is 1-3 in CCG's and 0-1 in the SB.
Why the hate for Reid and love for Chin?
Perhaps it has to do with the Chin's attitude.
I can remember in one game, a loss for Pitt, the game ending interception was run back for a TD, down the Pitt sideline. Chin took a step toward the DB from the sideline with a fist raised, I swore he was gonna go after him. Got the better of himself before he picked up a flagrant. Reid never shows this fire, at least not publicly.
exactly
cowher has a set of balls and gets players on the team that have the same...reid is a sloth like blob who gets players like dhani jones reno mahe darwin walker nate wayne and freddie mitchell
and i wont even go into his in game play calling...clock management adjustments ect...been there done that
as mmh said on attitude alone id take cowher over reid every day of the week
Ok, thats cool. But help me understand this because Reid is ripped apart a lot here for not showing attitude.
My response to that is; So what if he doesn't display anger towards his players publicly? Just because he doesn't undress a guy in front of us all doesn't mean he doesn't get his discipline across.
If I were a player I would prefer to be dealt with privately. When you show a guy up it can be bad. Scream at me all you want, I don't care. But don't do it in the media.
I've rarely seen Cowher "dress someone down" in public, except when they perform a particularly stupid personal foul. As an analogy, it's why I love watching Tiger Woods and despise Phil Mickelson. When Tiger misses a putt, or has a bad round, you can tell he's pissed.
Phil just happy to collect a paycheck. He doesn't have the fire to win, just enough to be top 10 and maintain his fat lifestyle.
Reid may be just as fiery as Cowher behind the scenes. I think the fans get frustrated because they want to see a little more aggravation from a guy who lost 3 NFCCGs and then a SB in succession.
yeah i wanna murder reid after he loses in the championship game and is like yep well just have to take a look at things come back next year and try again...worse than that tho is that reid looks for players and coaches who have the same laissez faire attitude he does...thus it spreads thruout the locker room...its a big reason TO was able to run rampant for as long as he did..and its a big reason why the defense is softer than a babys ass
I'd much rather he pout and throw his headset after a loss.

Nope--I thought that the Broncos would lose because it was Plummer's first championship game experience and before that, he is prone to making mistakes.
I saw nothing from Carolina that impressed me. I mean, the Giants putting an 87 year old Terrell Buckley on Steve Smith and then the Bears not even bothering to double-cover him?
I felt that Holmgren and Marshall would have a plan for him--and they did. Plus, Carolina played two inexperienced QBs, neither of which reminded me of a young Donavan McNabb, who put the Eagles on his shoulders 2 years in a row to go deep into the playoffs.
Incidentally, I look for the Panthers to be in the Terrell Owens mix. After Smith was shut down, they had no one to go to. They had 89 TOTAL YARDS at the end of 3 qtrs, and 41 of them came on one play.
