I like this guy. I just saw a post-game interview with him. He just said what we were all thinking. He feels the NFL wants the Colts and specifically Manning to succeed and they were under orders to give the game to the Colts.

I didn't notice the Joey Porter statements anywhere else and felt they were provocative enough to warrant a discussion, Scumbag.

That's really not a very mature response. Why waste your time typing. Just ignore the thread if you have nothing to add and go away. are you that in love with your own clever sense of humor that you need to respond with that gem? Boy, I am in awe of your rapier wit.

I'd still rather have Joey Porter than the entire group of Eagles LBs from the last two years.

So thats what Trotter means? SICK!
the eagles d wishes it had one fifth the toughness that joey porter has in his left pinky
But but but Dawkins! And Trotter! They're like, good still!
I like Joey Porter too. He's a nut, but I'd drive to Pittsburgh to pick his ass up if it meant getting rid of Double-oh Five Five.
Porter not fined! (http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/2006/football/nfl/specials/playoffs/2005/01/18/bc.fbn.steelers.porter.ap/index.html)
So let me get this straight, Clinton Portis and Sean Taylor get fined for wearing the wrong colour socks, yet Joey Porter doesn't for calling the officials bent? Gee whiz, the NFL is giving a LOT of ammo to the conspiracy theorists out there.

I can well understand that, but saying the refs are incompetant and the refs are cheats are completely different.

I agree they're totally different. But I think the NFL knows they farged up and they realize how hypocritical they'd look if they went and fined Porter for his comments. The NFL has been taking a beating over the officiating since the playoffs began and it'd only put more light and attention on an issue the NFL surely wants to put behind them.
I wouldn't get rid of Hatchet, but I'd welcome Joey with open arms! ;)

From what I understand, the NFL does not fine players for criticizing the refs unlike the NBA or other leagues might. They only fine coaches who speak out.
this meathead is at it again. i would love to see Stevens score on him.

yeah, right. like Andy Reid would go after him. Even before the shtein this week, this is the kinda guy Andy stays away from.

This is true. Alas, Porter is a
good linebacker. Andy, of course, only signs the likes of Dhani Jones and Mark Simoneau.
Yeah, we stayed away from the guy that spiked a TD football on the Dallas star not once but twice like he was a leper.
Get a grip. If someone convinces him he's the best LB ever, the 'tude won't bother him.
[joey porter] they true fillins is out, they don't know the true fillins [/joey porter]
im sorry but i love joey porter. i can't wait to see him level jeremy stevens. he's one angry mofo. i think he's one of the best linebackers in the league.
he said the other day, who would you rather have with you while walking down a dark alley, me? or stevens? the reporter said stevens, joey just laughs and said both ya'll get jumped and knocked out.
love this guy :-*
Hmmmm... I'm getting deja vu all over again. This time last year with Rodney Harrison and a certain big-mouth, no-talent arse-clown...
I farging ahte Joey Porter. Why do great players have to open their mouths and prove that they are farging idiots. He plays hard and hits hard and that's great, but someone should have sat him down when he was about 15 and said "Joey, you've got an unreal amount of talent and grit, but you're dumb as a bag of sponges. If anyone ever puts a microphone in front of you act humble and don't say much. It will help your career and it will keep you from embarrassing yourself and your family."
Why does every farging athlete on earth have to prove over and over again that without sports they would a worthless drain on humanity?
hey at least Porter can back it up. don't listen then rjs, waaaaah. :'(
rjs hates porter for opening his mouth?the same thing you do everytime you post here, wake up
I'm not paid millions of dollars to play a game and represent myself and my team in front of a ravenous media. Comparing what we do on a message board to what athletes do every time they are interviewed is farging idiotic. Kill yourself.
That comparison is akin in excellence to comparing Art to a real member of the sports media.
I'd rather have a firey LB like Porter who talks trash before a game than a LB who cries about how much he loves TO and wants him back on the team, then when the season's over and TOs gone says "i haven't been paying attantion to anything"

or a bow tie wearing sand artist
Dhani, Simoneau & Adams don't count. they're not really linebackers, just guys who waste space collecting paychecks.
I'm not saying I wouldn't love to have Porter on the field. I jsut don't want to hear his big dumbass mouth. Ever. Who told these guys that anyone cares what they think? No one gives a shtein, so farging button up, butter cup.

It isn't ruining anything, I just enjoy pointing out what everyone else seems to completely ignore. Athletes are idiots and yet we give them a pulpit to speak from every single day.
