4 unassisted tackles and a lot of non-highlights taking up 6 minutes and two seconds. Incredible. Hey, at least he's got that whole Waterboy retard-strength thing going for him. Just keep feeding him graham crackers and he won't go nuts and kill Saint Gibbs.

Music sucked, too.

I'm not even going to watch it, but I bet it is some lame shtein from Sean Taylor.

Taylor can only hope he'll ever be half of what Dawkins was.

Good luck on trial, Mr. Taylor. :-D

I don't remember Dawkins ever getting a DUI, pointing a gun at somebody and getting arrested for assault, demanding a new deal his second year in the league, or cite needing a year off because he's stressed out. Nope, can't say I ever remember when he could do that.

Dumb move by him, but he's a kid.  He might just learn to make better decisions.
But with regard to his play, he's that good.  I can't really believe some of you don't think so.

Taylor COULD be really good, if he gets his head on straight...and that's a big if, considering he made other "U" players look like little Einsteins on the Wonderlic.

He's not there yet.  He's just not.  He's one of those "so much potential" stories waiting to happen.  Actually, it's in progress.
Title: Re: Remember when Brian Dawkins could do this?
Post by: Diomedes on January 06, 2006, 01:50:53 PM
the Jerk said it best: he sells out.  Taylor never heard of staying home, and he doesn't break down before the hit.  I say "hit" because with him, it's a hit more often than it's a tackle.  I'm sure that if I had nothing better to do, I could make a much more amusing video showing his misses, and find better music too.

Top safetys get called overrated in the last few years.  It's the criticism du jour.
I heard some idiot call Troy Palomalu overrated when he got burned by Branch last year vs the Pats.
Whatever.  Some person spouts off about someone being overrated, and the internet echo chamber starts repeating the sentiment over and over.  It doesn't mean it's right.
It's his second year in the league.  Much improved over the first.  4.5 speed or so to move sideline to sideline, and built like a LB.  The evidence is that the defense plays differently when he is not on the field, gimpy ankle and all.  But it's probably more fun to bash anyway.

I was sleeping all day (damn work) so I missed the game. What the hell happened? I saw he got ejected. Does that mean he gets suspened for the next game? Is it an automatic or an appeal & review type situation? I'm a bit out of touch on the NFLs 'hawking of body fluids' rules.

man he got ejected. I was pissed.  i honestly didn't see anything. I do however think it is was possible that while yelling a little bit of spit flew out his mouth. I just didin't see anything. You got to be a stone cold mother farger to spit on someone and not even flintch. His head didn't jerk forward. Spit on something, go ahead in anger. your head has to move. it has to. But Sean is one stonned cold mother farger
he can't be introuble for the next game.  But there will be a big fine.  BIG FINE.  in the tape i can't see it.  There is a good angle so i think i would have seen it but i don't know maybe he did.  Last year he was accused of doing it.

Next time you see the replay... watch Pittman.  You can definitely see his head jerk in reaction to it.  Then right after that, Pittman hits him.

i see what you are saying.  both of them bob their heads the way taylor usually does.  Taylor says something then pittman does the same then taylor bobs his head but  i guess thats when he spits on pittman.  After that pittman bobs his head but i am not sure if it is a reaction.  The ref was less than 2 feet away.  Seriously he was closer than pittman was so i am sure he made the right call.  The refs were outstanding today i thought.  If taylor did it he is a meat head.

I know this kind of shtein happens all the time in a pile but how farging dumb do you have to be to do in front of a ref.  Maybe as farging dumb you would have to be to pull a gun on a guy over ATVs.  Dumbass.  He won't be suspended from the league next week but he might get some shtein from the coaches.

Gibbs would bench him but Greg williams won't and i think williams will make sure he plays.  No f'n way can we compete with the seahawks O w/o taylor.  Greg said after the game that he loves ST like a son and he would adopt him if he could.  Greg likes him and griffin so much that it is rediculous.

If he does get suspended, as I believe I heard Ed Werder say on SC that he would be, then he's committed the ultimate sin - hurting his team.

With the depth of that secondary already hurting you could possibly be without your best player back there.

Dude, it's a conspiracy.  Taylor did nothing wrong.  The "powers that be" are afraid of the taterskins and want to keep them out of the Super Bowl at all costs, hence this terrible injustice to Sean Taylor.

You're right. How silly of me.

John Q. Skinsfan in Gibbsville, USA knows better because he saw it on his 105" DLP HDTV Sony with Dolby 3.1 and he didn't see spittle or hear Sean hock before launching that rocket towards Pittman.

Furthermore Mike Carey was wrong too. Along with the rest of us schmucks who watched the TV and saw Pittman react like he did.

Obvisouly Pittman would rather be ramming his wife and child off the road but getting spit on is nasty.

We're wrong. Snyder's minions are right. :D

I guess cooley is saying taylor did spit.  He says taylor spit after he was slapped.  This would have to be much later because after he was slapped he backed off jumping and laughing then they switched camaras as Taylor starts walking back toward him.  It is possible Taylor spit after but that is even more stupid because pittman would have gotten the penalty and not sean.

If his own teammates don't kick the shtein out of him for trying to cost them the game I'll have to assume you've got a collection of very large toddlers for a team.

Taylor spit before Pittman slapped.  You have a safety on your team that is as classless, stupid, and childish as he is freakishly athletically gifted.  If you didn't already know this before yesterday, you're too slow to learn it after the spitting either.  If you prefer to delude yourselves into believing that Taylor's going to be an upstanding young man anytime soon, go right ahead.  I just hope you deal with disappointment well.
