I don't ever go out on new years eve...but this year, there's a lady that would like to get drunk with me (no, not my mom)...but I don't want to be on the road either...its going to rain out here (40% chance)...and ending the night at a nice hotel would be teh awesome.
What have been some new years eve things that you've done in the past?
Went to New Orleans, drank for 26 straight hours, accidentally ate some prescription pain killers that our waiter gave us at dinner after we struck up a conversation about drugs we liked, smoked a whole bunch of some stranger's squeef and passed out on Bourbon street at approximately 12:01. Lots of nipple pictures and lots of pictures of chicks making out with each other were also collected. If you're any kind of man you'll convince your lady friend to assist you in all of the above.
Oh yeah, and one year I got trampled by an NYC Police horse because I was honking at it through a duck call while trying to sneak into Times Square.
I'm usually asleep before the New Year rolls around. Ask someone else.

I farging hate New Years Eve, for some reason the days immediately after Christmas are always the worst for me. This year is no exception.
I'm not a drinker, so I have no "exciting" stories to tell.
Some years I go to a friend's or relative's house and quietly bring in the New Year.
Since the baby came, usually my wife and I try to stay up to see the ball drop on one of the TV shows, sip some sparking grape juice and eat some shrimp cocktail, and are in bed by 12:15. We don't always make it.

Chuggie, something you might want to consider would be checking with local hotels to see what kind of celebration they are doing. Most downtown hotels (Hyatt, Sheraton, Merriott, etc) will be hosting some sort of New Year's Eve party where you can purchase tickets/hotel room packages. Get a group of friends together and all chip in. Get smashed at the party then take the elevator up to your room for sloppy drunk porn sex. Save the driving until morning.
my memories aren't outrageous like my new official hero, RJS. i always have a party at my house and last year got nice and drunk and then my buddy stopped by with a large bottle of zambuca, so me and him took turns doing shots of that until it was done and i proceeded to accidentally bump into some of my more attractive guests and feel their tatas. then i threw up and went to bed while everbody was still downstairs.

my first drunk new years eve was my freshman year in high school. i was cool cause i was dating a hot junior and i was at a big party with cool people. seeking the opportunity to drink as much alcohal i could in a night...i drank a 12 pack of bud ice and did a few shots in 2 hours. i was in the basement tending to my girlfriend who was about to puke. then i got dizzy...got up...ran up the stairs...as i was running up the steps.....puke was squirting through my mouth and hands trying to hold it in. burst through the basement door...into the kitchen with about 20 people crammed in....crashed through the porch door outside and dove into the grass...puking what was left. it was alot...i remember a girl behind me watching and saying....oh my god he's puking blood. either it was blood or it was a redish shot i was taking...i was the entertainment that night.
first year in college a big group of my friends from high school went up to Kutztown University for a party at one of our girlfriends apartments. it was the tampa bay and philly playoff game...2000...freezing night. anyway we got up early and got to watch the end of the game...slamming shots and beer. then her roomates friends poured in...with a boat load of hot chicks. then another roomate of hers comes in with another group of friends. so you got 3 different groups of drunk guys and hot chicks. the party was going great...i was mackin on some biatches...and then aparently the one chick forgot to tell me she had a boyfriend who was there. so apparently...because i was blacked out at this point...he came up to me and got in my face...and apparently i told him i would kill him if he touched me...so nothing happed...until i passed out...then all hell broke loose...our group being the drunkest and out-numbered...one buddy of mine got attacked by three guys in the hallway...he was getting pounded...when the others tried to get through and help they were getting beat. the guys were all huge...even the toughest guy in our group couldn't get through to help. apparently someone ran into the room i was passed out in a said, fight, get out here...and i was told i stood up in my boxers and threw punches at the air and then fell over. i don't remember anything. i woke up next to a pile of puke and freezing. i stumbled out into the main part of the apartment and i found my friend crying cause her apartment was trashed! i quickly ran to see if my video camera was still there. it was but the battery charger got beer splashed on it. oh man what a farged up feeling i had when i heard what happened. worthless when my buddies were getting beat. i prob started it too. worst new years ever.

I went to Kutztown...and that sounds like a typical party there. :paranoid
pray that the Birds don't suck in '06. I hate this losing crap.
