Poor Sheldon, he's gotta learn to jump.
I'm checkin in! Started to head down to the sports bar but decided to pass. If things get better and the birds start playing I might head down there - it's a two minute drive from my house.
Mele Kalikimaka!

Nope. It was a coverage sack though. I'm not sure that's very believable either, but it's true.
Holy crap, Koy does have a buzzcut!
The announcers just counted the men on defense, they counted a WR as #12.
The defense forced a punt!

Is LJ out ???
He's not on the injury report, but I did miss the first four minutes of the game. They haven't said anything about an injury, so I'll assume he just sucks.
The only TE's there throwing to are Bartrom and Lewis(Chad)
Roderick with another nice hit.

oh.. they played today. im so disappointed i missed the game. :-D
The saddest thing is there were still more Eagles fans in the stadium than Cards fans. A close second is our QB of the future.
low point of the season for me was dawkins talking ish to that back up tight end after he CAUGHT the ball for a first down...is that what its come to?
mcmullens td catch was hilarious...you see him try and cuddle the ball in like it was an egg in a home ec take home project...he is brutal
like ive been saying the most important thing to remember is not to take these games seriously...ryan moats was not necessarily a good draft pick....jaamal jackson is not necessarily a starting center in the nfl...these games mean less than nothing...no matter how much andy reid says he likes what he sees out there for next year

Only 8 days until the suffering comes to an end. Then we can get to some hardcore draft talk, and focus completely on the offseason/
Current draft spot: #14
Projected draft spot: #14
How they can move up to #13: loss (vs WSH) + 2 Baltimore wins (vs MIN, at CLE)
we can't lose to Washington, we just can't :(
Sure we can. It'll be real easy with Mike back there getting pounded in to the turf on every play.
That shtein was brutal to watch.
And Tim Ryan should get coal in his stocking for suggesting that Mike McMahon is a good backup QB in this league.
Mike McMahon is terrible. TERRIBLE!

I agree with the crackhead here. McMahon would be excellent in the Arena Football League but he has no business being an NFL quarterback much less in Philly playing for the defending NFC Champions.
As bad as McPick was, though, the defense was worse. Just flat-out embarrassing in every aspect of the game.
Reid & Heckert have their work cut out for them on that side of the ball in the offseason. If they don't get shtein straightened out, the Eagles are going to suck next year as well.

Collins would probably want to go to somewhere where he can at least compete for a starting job. I think Garcia would be the best fit. He knows the offense and was awful in Detroit and Cleveland, so the prospects of some team wanting him as a starter or potential starter are slim. Him or Feely would do, and either one I would sign to a multi-year deal.
Talk about cranking up the GET bandwagon, how bout Duce? Sure he's always injuried, but why not. It's Duce.
Garcia sucks, so bring him in. Good plan.
Sure beats wasting time with Kerry Collins. I think he can be an effective game-manager for a week or two if McNabb were to go down. Kyle Boller made the playoffs doing that, Kyle Orton would have if he didn't get benched for the slightly more effective Rex Grossman. You get the point.
Yeah, McNabb isn't going to be out for a game or two. If it's that minor he'll play through it. If it's major and he's got to miss a month or more, I don't want Garcia out there.
Well then do you propse we either scrap the whole notion of a backup qb and just give up on the season if mcnabb goes down or pay good money for a capable backup?
Find a capable one. Garcia is not that guy.
Capable ones cost money. We need that money for such positions as: everything. I figure if McNabb is done for the year, we have no shot. So find someone that can hold the fort down until he gets back, if such thing were to happen.
I have to agree with GF, Garcia isn't going to win any games for us if McNabb goes down. His arm is weak, and the only thing he brings to the table is ability to run, thats it.
If Reid doesn't draft a decent backup late in the draft, ala Feeley, then I'd rather have Anthony Wright, Kurt Warner, or Hasselbeck.

I would say the failure of the offense the last few weeks lays at the feet of McMahon's ineptitude, more than his ability to fit into AR's system.
no doubt mcmahon is hideous...but its andy taking him in last spring thinking his system would turn him into a nfl qb that is at the root of the problem

So where do you think it falls in our ranking of needs?
well when youre a trillion dollars under the cap theres no excuse to not have a competant nfl back up qb...not to mention kick returners as well...
but in a general sense i think its fairly important in this day and age to have a nice back up...would i break the bank for one probably not but then again you dont have to...at the same time you gotta do better than mcmahon and/or detmer
From that list anyway, I'll just throw it out there...
What about Kitna? Yeah, he turned 33 in sept., but he was NFL comeback player of the year the last meaningful snaps he got, and he only lost the job to an emerging Carson Palmer. Was a pretty controversial move at the time because Kitna was playing so well. He also has WCO experience.
He can be better for us than somebody like Garcia, can't he?
Jon Kitna is the guy I'd want. Kitna then Collins.
i think kitna will get a chance to start somewhere next year...so many teams have garbage qb's that he'd be a logical choice for one of them.
Does anybody really have a bigtime backup QB? Maybe San Diego? Other than them I can't thinkl of any.
