Title: Former NFL Player BOOED
Post by: Reidme on December 01, 2005, 05:59:18 AM
Terrell Owens was BOOOED at an NBA game, and not in Philly. Owens attended an Atlanta Hawks game, and when his picture was flashed up on the big screen to little reaction, they ran a graphic asking if the crowd would like to see TO in a Falcons uniform next year. The BOOs came cascading down amidst relative silence. The reaction by Owens? Maybe the most genuine reaction to date, he looked uncomfortable, squirming in his seat and feigning a smile. (I saw it on ESPN, and although there are a few BLOG references to be had, I have no real link for ya)  Man, how this guy has farged himself this year ......

and in case you haven't seen it .....

Eagles themed BangHaHa Cartoon (http://www.bangcartoon.com/childsplay.htm)

BTW .... I realize I am way behind, and all this stuff may have been covered, but me of little time will just throw it up here, and after the resident female smartass points out that its already been posted, the rest of you can just ignore me. Thats the way it works for me in real life anyway ....  ;)

This was the SECOND time TO was booed at a Hawks game.  He was also at the home opener against the Lakers.  Every game they point out the celebrities in the crowd... and when he popped up, he got booed like hell.  Doesn't matter much though with these fickle ass ATL fans... if TO was to suit up for them next year... there'd be just as many #81 jerseys as there are #7 jerseys.

Well, I sure as hell hope that wasn't a potshot at posters from HERE. But I'm sure, in your normal, ignorant attitude, it is.

But you're wrong....Because those that didn't want TO, stayed true to their word.

And those (like me) who wanted him stayed true to that too. Some always liked him since the star dance and thought that he'd be in a better situation and would act accordingly...which he did for one year. We were proven wrong, of course, but don't go acting like we HATED him in San Fran, because he endeared himself to a LOT of people when he disrespected Dallas.

Not really. There wasn't the same amount of virulent hatred for TO when he left SF, from Eagles fans especially. I always quite liked him for the Dallas star incident.

if you dont think a ton of eagle fans ripped him when he was in sf and loved him here then youre ignoring the obvious...in fact when it looked as though he was gonna go to baltimore many heads were like 'ahh i didnt want that ass anyway' then when he arrived it was all TO love all the time

its really a natural thing to do...we always hate athletes until they are on our team....but it would be mad hypocritical for eagle fans to bash the fans of whatever team he goes to next year if they were to cheer for him...yes it would also be hypocritical for many of his new fans to cheer...especially if he were to go to say dallas...but lets get real TO was a god here last year and hes the devil now...even though he never changed as a person...so eagle fans have no room to talk

i loved him in sf as well...not for the star but just for his trash talk and the ability to back it up...same reason i love deion and ray lewis...when i lost all respect for TO and came to despise him was when he called out garcia as being gay...he was done to me after that

You gotta remember though... the Hawks were playing the Heat so that put the number right up in the high teens.

I didn't want him prior to the '04 campaign.  I bought into him by the mid-season, though, since he seemed to be a model citizen.  I supported him after the Pitt game as trying to pump up McNabb, and I cheered him during all his antics.  Should've trusted my instincts.  Of course, if I did that, I wouldn't have an ex-wife. :paranoid

Title: Current NFL Player BOOED
Post by: JTrotter Fan on December 01, 2005, 11:32:56 AM
I don't know how you can say he's a FORMER player.  He's still in the league and still will be after this year.  I think you are just a little too bitter.

Yeah, he farged the Eagles in the long run, but you people act like he killed your favorite player or something.

GET OVER TO!

1) He's not playing, and I didn't feel like it was an Eagles thread, that's why I posted it here. It was also supposed to be a bit humorous.

2) TO did kill my favorite player, that being Terrell Owens, best damn receiver in foosball.

3) I am trying.

:P

Maybe he really does have multiple personalities.  That would explain everything.
