Its amazing how Buck can speak so clearly with Favre's dick in his mouth.
I'm impressed. :P
We'll see.... though I have to agree the Eagles could be done after today (unless both the Gints and Skins lose and we win. Then we have a very slim chance, IMHO).
Anyway, I'll be listening in, while the Gints will be shown on TV. Don't know how much I willl be posting, as I'll be doing some badly needed studying. Anyway, the start sounds good...

Meh. Get it out of the way quickly I guess. Looks like a running back by commitee again. One pass, four runs. Nice to see.
Well... that ought to scare AR away from the run just fine.

And burned a timeout in the process! :yay :yay
I wish I was at the game so I could boo, the crowd just isn't getting it done.
Holding on Hollis? okay, that needed to be called :-D
3rd and 14 and we stopped him 2 yards short. Way to go, D.

Why am I complaining?
Last year, I could COUNT on the defense to stop the other team- and often make a big play on 3rd and long.
This year, I pray to God that somehow the defense gets lucky enough to hang on by the shoelace of the freaking 4th string WR/RB/whatever of the freaking 2-8 Green Bay Packers and be fortunate enough to have it happen a yard short of the first down on 3rd and 15.

Not let a zesty #3 RB from Liberty run for 100 yards in the first half would be a nice start. Especially after a big TD by Westbrook.

I don't know, a stop on 3rd and forever would be a good start. Not letting a waiver wire pickup gain 100 yards in the first half would help.
Phreak,
I would say that the defense did enough. It was far from dominating, though.
As we debated earlier, when I'm HOPING the Eagles' defense stops a 4th stringer from making a 3rd and long, rather than EXPECTING them to do it, that's not a good thing.

wow. freaks.
I'll take the win, but against this crap team it should have been a blow out. *sigh*
BTW, seems to me that Aikman was taking back-handed shots at Favre all night - "If that pass had been a little longer, it would have been a big play" "Throw that ball inside and it isn't a pick" "He was open, but Favre just couldn't get it to him" In that light, the "if it weren't for the picks" can be taken as a shot... I think the only reason why Aikman didn't come right out and say "This guy sucks" is that either a) Joe Buck would cry, or b) Buck would take him literally, and think that he could get some after the game.
he also said favre was still one of the 5 best qbs in the league. which is a joke.
He's one of the five best active QBs in his division.

McMahon didn't make stupid mistakes a la St. Favre. That was the difference. Both teams lost a fumble by a running back, but Favre also threw that pick to Lewis in the end zone. It's a different game if he doesn't toss that into triple coverage.
Ryan Moats looked nice out there too. In addition to him flying around on STs coverage and forcing and recovering a fumble he had a nice run in there too.

Are you serious? (on both parts of your post)
First...how should it have been a blow out? Regardless of how bad the Packers are, they had starters in there against an Eagles makeshift oline, the 3rd string and lower WRs and our backup QB. If you expected Herremans and Co to blow out the Packers with their starters in there, you're off.
And Aikman was sucking off Favre all day. "He is so good, he can come back next year and lead this team to another Championship. I mean, if you just take away some of his interceptions, he's still so, SO good"
barf.
Yay! Let's talk about how commentators love Brett Favre some more!

QuotePackers | Thornburg injures shoulder
Mon, 28 Nov 2005 06:03:58 -0800
Updating a previous report, the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports Green Bay Packers S Jeremy Thornburg (shoulder) suffered major damage to his right shoulder covering a kickoff in the first quarter. "I've had surgery on my A/C joint and it's my same joint," Thornburg said. "I think it's what I had surgery on before. That was about three years ago."

Except for the penalties, I didn't have a problem with the o-line's performance yesterday. McMahon had time, and they were opening up running lanes.
As for the passing game, well anyone who didn't realize what we have with McNabb got a serious wake-up call. Receivers were open all day, and either McMahon was missing them or they dropped the ball. 4 farging field goals?
QuoteAnd Aikman was sucking off Favre all day. "He is so good, he can come back next year and lead this team to another Championship. I mean, if you just take away some of his interceptions, he's still so, SO good"
barf.
Well, I missed that line, but in the first half, I remember thinking to myself that Aikman was trashing Favre while trying to sound positive. *shrug*

Agreed. But anyone who didn't realize what we have with McNabb needed a punch in the face as a wake up call. ;)

anyone else wondering how pissed off ELI_is_GOD is today after the birds won a game sacrificing a draft slot?

I've been brought over to the 'high first round draft picks are no more likely to be stars than low first rounders' side when it comes to thinking about the draft. Which means that I now have absolutely no reason to be happy when they lose a gome. Plus, we've got so many picks this year (again) that a mid-late round pick can easily become a higher pick if they want it. So yeah, we should win out.
If the Eagles were 1-10 right now, I'd be on the "lose 'em all" bandwagon.
They're not, so any talk about wishing them to lose solely to improve their order in the draft is farging retarded at this point.
Greenie trashed Favre today on Mike & Mike. First guy I ever heard say Favre stinks. Open up the trash Favre floodgate. I wonder if t.O. & Irvin still think the Birds are undefeated w/Favre? Can we have a broadcast w/o former Cowboys?

QuotePackers | Thornburg injures shoulder
Mon, 28 Nov 2005 06:03:58 -0800
Updating a previous report, the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports Green Bay Packers S Jeremy Thornburg (shoulder) suffered major damage to his right shoulder covering a kickoff in the first quarter. "I've had surgery on my A/C joint and it's my same joint," Thornburg said. "I think it's what I had surgery on before. That was about three years ago."
We knew Thornburg would help us injure opponents on special teams this year!
Big game players....
OFFENSE:
Westbrook--should get the game ball.
Akers--looks almost back to game form
O-line--had a decent game, alot better than i was expecting from them.
DEFENSE:
Jevon--Disrupting and getting pressure on Farve all game. I didn't like them dropping him back in coverage late in the game. He needs to be going after the QB.
M. Lewis--made alot of nice plays today, was a sure tackler and finally got him an interception. Coverage was good too.
Patterson--huge sack on Farve, made a couple other nice tackles, but missed on the Gado TD, as well as Dawkins who wiffed big time on that play.
Trotter--not his best game but was involved with alot of run stuff's yesterday. Made a big hit on Gado going for the first down.
ST:
Moats and Ena-- I believe cause the punt return fumble and the kick return fumble.
Wynn: Flew down the field on the one punt, flying past blockers and through blockers like a maniac and made a great tackle.
Akers: As mentioned before. :yay
Bum game players:
OFF:
McMahon--looked way off and couldn't get anything going in the passing game. Had a few nice runs, but a few bad runs also.
Wideouts--All played pretty zesty today, was it McMahon or they just couldn't catch? Glewis had prob the best game out of all.
Playcalling--again...late in the game we had 3, 3 and outs in a row...didn't run the ball once. We kept the Packers in the game by those possessions. Running the ball works, takes time off the clock and tires there D will conserving ours. So lets have more of it.
Gordon-fumbled and wasn't seen for the rest of the game other than fielding kickoffs. Yes fielding kickoffs after fumbling...i don't understand that.
DEF:
Adams and Jones--again nothing from these guys again.
CB's--don't remember anything stellar from these guys, other than Hood late.
Dawkins---Im giving him hell because a trusty veteran like him shouldn't miss tackles like the Gado TD. He went for the hit instead of the tackle. Nothing great from him yesterday other than the fumble recovery.
ST: Mahe--sucked ass. Fumbled and just looked ball-less yesterday. They need to establish a punt-returner for real--how is anyone supposed to get complete confidence when the coach throws 3-4 diff. guys out there a game. Same for kick-returner. Damn i miss JR Reed, a guy with speed and atttitude.
Overall- a much needed win for this team and good play time for some of the youngins. Next week should be intersting. If we cans top LT, we can stop Alexander. Defense needs to step up big-time next week and win us this game. Westbrook needs 40 touches...and LJ Smith needs to get his ass in gear. LETS GO BIRDS!
Gordon left the game with a concussion in the first half.
Thanks PG
Any news on Bubba Frizzanks? Dawkins snapped him yesterday pretty bad. :paranoid

For those at the game, you may have seen a fan run onto the field, spreading dust from a bag and laying down at midfield. According to Action News, it was his mother's ashes and he was fulfilling a wish of hers... :sly
That was pretty freaky...Security was trailing the guy by about 15-20 yards, and the guy was waving the bag around his head, which was trailing a cloud of white dust like a crop-duster as he ran through the players awaiting kick-off. Security looked kind of lax in chasing him, but I guess at that point, who knew what he was spreading?
After he was finished, he laid down face-first on the center of the Eagle insignia on the fifty yard line, and waited for Security to take him out. What was pretty funny was a dejected looking Police Officer as he put away his Night Stick without getting to use it, after the guy flopped down on the field and surrendered.
Good job by the gate security, letting a man bring in a big bag of white powder! :yay
They said he's fine. He was kept in the hospital for observations because he had some numbness in one of his hands.
But they said it was all precautionary and x-rays were negative.
Hood also had a great pass defend, where he wasn't even looking at the ball, just knocked it out of the receiver's hands when he grabbed it.

Yes. Did you see McMahon throwing yesterday? Plus, how awesome would it be to watch Andy call 60 running plays? I would submit that it would be very awesome.
The Eagles should just exclusively run the option with McMahon.

Better him than farging Mahe. The motherfarger muffs a punt for which he called a fair catch, then they pass to him on the very next play. What the Motherfarg is that?
CUT MAHE!!!
Gordon didn't get back in the game because of the concussion, not because of his fumble.
Add in that quick duck under a later punt, that miraculously missed his back, and the mighty mormon should've been in street clothes without a field pass by the 4th quarter.

No shtein. That guy can't even catch out of the backfield. Mahe has no purpose on this team.
It was nice seeing Moats get some carries.

I cannot believe that Mahe is still collecting paychecks in this league. What a farging joke.
It was killing me to see Mahe get that pass right after that muffed fargin' punt... :boom
The Mormon experiment was cute and all while the team was going 13-3. But, now they need to see some young guys with potential getting playing time, to see what they have.
Time to cut Andy's illegitimate son, NOW.
Reno is smiling because he knows AR will never, ever cut him.
Time to put Ena in at OLB.
Did anyone make note of the hit that Westbrook gave to that DB who tried to run him out of bounds?
Westbrook farged that dude up. And those losers at FOX didn't even give us a replay. Maybe it'll be on Jacked Up tonight.
I loved it when it happened, then quickly forgot about it. I may have posted about it.
