Will Mike McMahon lead the team to victory?
I think so. I see Reid running it 30 times and that does not include McMahon breaking the pocket and running.
He'll go conservative and the Birds win.

Eli had an off game last week and will come back strong. Eagles can't find a way to cover Plaxico and Shockey on the same field. Tiki runs for 100+, since the Eagles can't stop the run on the road.
McMahon plays well and fairly mistake-free, but the defense leaves him hanging out to dry with bad field position and a largely insurmountable (two scores) deficit most of the game.
I just can't see the Giants dropping this one at home. The Eagles are a defeated team who blew their chance last week, while the Giants find themselves jockeying for playoff positioning.
AR's gonna try to keep the ball on the ground (did I just say that?! :o) and out of McMahon's hands. All he'll basically have to do is not farg the whole thing up... and keep the drive going occassionally with his legs.
JJ will somehow scheme to keep Lito out of 1 on 1 situations with Plaxico (or we're in deep shtein). The D plays an inspired game and keeps the game within reach.
Eagles - 20
Gnats - 13
Eagles lose.
who cares certainly not the eagles...their hearts arent going to be in it after last week and with this TO thing
27-6 giants
o/u on trent coles sack total = 1.5
Right, because bringing T.O. back would certainly bring more "heart" to this team....
Shut your word-hole, poseur.

ok lemme try this again...i friggin hate TO with everything in my body...i hope he gets aids...but it doesnt matter what i think its what the lockeroom thinks and they clearly want TO back
Phil Martelli predicted Eagles lose, BIG TIME.
he used to be golden with his picks, but not anymore.
That being said, it's gonna be tough for the Birds to rally and win this one. Having said that, Birds will win!

Yeah, I heard him say something crazy like 44-7 Jints.
I really think the pull this one out. But what do I know? I thought they'd beat Washington and Dallas too. :-\

Late FG by Akers get Eagles win
Eagles/Giants games at the Meadowlands are rarely blowouts, even last year's game was pretty close for awhile.
If the Eagles run the ball like they did against Dallas, they can shorten the game and keep the Giants offense off the field. If McMahon can play the same safe game that Donovan played for 57 minutes, they will be in good shape to pull it out.
Let's hope the defense figured out how to play on the road.

They "clearly" want him back in the locker room? I think you're over-interpreting the comments of a few to represent the thoughts of many, let alone a healthy majority.
Eagles 17

Run the ball?
RUN THE BALL?
This is Andy Freaking Reid we're talking about.
Jim Mike McMahon hoists 50 passes. Completes 25. Unfortunately, 5 are to the Giants.
Giants 35
Eagles 3
My heart tells me GO EAGLES. My brain tells me it's over. I hope I'm wrong.
Seven.
Andy learns from the past and Cortez hits a 63 yd field goal to pull the Birds within 5 but more importantly to cover the spread.
Still living the dream.....ugly game decided by special teams. Eagles by 3.

Have you watched a single thing our special teams have done this year?

Yes, while their level of suckitude is on par with the Giants, it's not outside the realm of possibility.
should i wear my mcnabb jersey, or my TO one with "meatciclehead" written on duct tape over the owens to this game?
eagles 100
giants 99
woot
I think the Eagles will put up a good overall game but are going to be burned a few times by Tiki/Shockey/Plaxico & will be be playing from behind the whole time.
Giants 27
Birds 17
If we can dominate the Cowboys Dline, we should handle the Giants Dline as well, especially since Strahan is only 250 lb. nowadays.
21-13 Eagles. Eli Martin throws 3 picks. :-*
i just wish eli didnt implode last week...young quarterbacks like that usually are off an on...so id expect him to come back with a good game this week

So, your whole outlook on the game is about the same as mine, except you think Akers will miss 1 more FG.
The Eagles better win or put up one hell of a fight. I'm looking at Giant's stadium from my office window, and I don't need a line of whiny Giants fans ready to accost me Monday morning.

64,
I was watching ESPN Classic the other day and they showed an old "This week in The NFL" episode with Summerall and Brookshire. It was week 8, 1971! Birds/Skins played to a 7-7 tie at RFK. Bill Bradley - one of my all time favorite Eagles - had two interceptions on Billy Kilmer. I swear they said the Eagle kicker missed 5 field goals that day including a blocked one to win the game late in the fourth. Pre Dempsey. I can't recall the kickers name. Still love those white helmets with the green wings.
Eagles 25-(6 Akers Field Goals)
Giants 20
It's hard to pick the Eagles to win on the road considering how bad they have played so far this year.
However, if they can get out early and score a few quick points I feel they can really put the momentum of the game in their favor. They can't get outscored like they have in the 1st quarter on the road. Maybe McMahon leads them down and gets a quick score on the opening drive? Who knows.
The offense played pretty well last week for 9/10th's of the game. One costly mistake blew everything.
Fix the offensive penalties, have McMahon scramble a few times and show that he's a threat to run the ball, and we could squeak one out.
I think it's decided by 6 points either way. Either 23-17 Eagles or Giants. Depends on who gets off to a good start.
I'll predict that Trent Cole gets a sack this game though. He should be on the field as much as possible. He could be the saving grace on the D-line.
By the way, What do you guys think of the chances of seeing Moats possibly in this game?
And Cut Reno! For God's sake! That one little dump they threw to him over the middle that he dropped would have been easy pickings if Moats was in there! ;)
Seriously though, I want to see him integrated in the offense this year with Westbrook in the backfield. It would make an awesome combination with Moats in the backfield and Brian lined up on the outside.
This offense has weapons. Might as well let loose now.
I love the eagles d in this game as i think eli is being blown out of the water...unfortunately the offense doesnt look like it will help the d out...20 - 13 giants win
Giants 24
Eagles 13
They had a poor outing last week and have something to play for -- we don't. :-\

Not very good. If we see Moats it will not be until very late in the season if at all.
Or until three other guys get hurt.
The mere mention of Reno Mahe angers me now. After seeing that fool mess up on Monday when he shouldn't have even been on the field pissed me off. And it pisses me off more that Big Red had him out there.
Reno lined up in the slot? Um, no.
How about Darnerian McCants?
Yeah I had no idea that Reno had the ability to catch the ball. Why not McCants or McMullen for that matter? Have a few big bodies go over the middle to get some seperation and pick up the first.
Just get rid of Reno and Parry and go without a fullback the rest of the year. Just put Gordon in on heavy sets.
