It's fun when you post when drunk. I remember I went to a bar and got rejected by a few chicks and posted the whole thing.......it was pretty sad......but I immediately deleted everything...and nobody found out.  :paranoid

Also, you think you're funnier when you're drunk....so post away! ;)

I think people who brag about being drunk need to seriously look into counseling. Or growing some pubes.

That's an expensive night of drinking.  I love Guinness, but rarely drink that much of it in a night.

On the fourth of July in 2000 four of my buddies, my ladyfriend and I sat at an Irish bar in DC for 6 hours drinking before the fireworks. When we got our tab there were 96 pints of Guinness listed (and a couple of Heineken's for the ladyfriend).

One of my friends still has the receipt.

Jesus Christ, man, you have to take out a loan to pay that tab?
They let you make installments?

We had lunch AND dinner there too. I'm good at spending money on my own momentary happiness.

That works out to 19.2 (96/5) pints per Jerk.  Or 3.2 (19.2/6) pints per Jerk hour.  I'm not gonna call you a liar, but that's pretty hard to believe.

I actually agree with you, and will readily admit that there is no way I could pull that kind of shtein right now, but this was 2 months after I graduated from college and was far and away the peakest of my drinking peak. Three weeks earlier two buddies and I finished a quarter barrel by ourselves while I was moving my shtein out of our house in state college. (Which I believe came out to 24 or 26 beers a piece.) And 3 weeks before that I had finished a 750ml bottle of jack by myself in about 3 hours because none of my ladyfriends would get drunk at beach week and I wanted to show them how much more fun they would be if they were drunk.

The fact that my 175 lb body used to be able to do these things sickens and excites me.

Guiness has the same alcohol percentage as a Coors Light   That helps being able to pound em.

And it isn't carbonated. Which makes chugging much easier. Oh yeah, and it has less calories than skim milk. I eat it in my wheaties.

Oh, I have no problem pounding them, but if I want to get drunk, I usually go another route... or drop some Bailey's and Jamison in and have myself an Irish Car Bomb... possibly the best drink ever.

Guinness is made to enjoy.

The car bomb thing is cute, but it's a terrible thing to do to a perfectly good Guinness.

A friend of mine likes to tell the story of my later brother-in-law, and their visit to a pub in Ireland. They were there for a little while having a good time, when the bartender stopped everything and made an announcement to the entire pub that my BIL was just starting his 20th pint.

One of my buddies from the Fourth of July story studied for a semester in Galway, Ireland and worked at a pub there. It's a horseracing pub and for decades the only pictures on the walls were of famous thoroughbreds from the area. He is a superlush like myself and would expound on how much he could drink. Needless to say he was challenged by one of the bartenders to drink 12 pints in an hour and keep it down. He finished 13 and a shot of rye. Now his picture is on the wall there.

This same kid once had an 80-pound cabinet TV dropped on his head from the second story of his frat. When he got to the hospital the nurse told him that she couldn't believe he was alive or that he could carry on a conversation with her. Not because she was shocked that he had survived the accident but because his BAC was .36. The doctor actually told him that the reason he survived was because he was so drunk that his body was incapable of tensing up when the TV impacted. He just turned to jelly.

Also, this kid got a 1510 on his SATs without his calculator. He didn't realize you were allowed to use them so he ONLY got a 710 on the math section. 800 verbal.

Clearly, he's not human.

Clearly. What can I say, I don't often run in to people who are both smarter than me and are able to outdrink me. It's a rare combination and worthy of praise... or at least worthy of telling stories about on a message board when you don't want to think about how awful your favorite football team is.

I would be inclined to worship such a person myself.  If I didn't hate him for being everything I wish I was, but am not.

It is mildly furstrating having a close friend who is better at both things I hold most dear. On the other hand he has the social graces of a lobotomized donkey, so at least there's that.

So...tensing up is bad when suffering trauma? So, if I ever get kicked in the nuts...just lay out and stretch? Kind of hard to do.

But I heard something similar when you get in an auto accident, you get more injured because you usually brace yourself which creates a smaller area of yourself. Is there a doctor in the house?
