Title: Eagles transactions before Dallas game
Post by: PoopyfaceMcGee on November 08, 2005, 09:59:46 AM
What moves will the Eagles make?

They will have at least one open roster spot (Short going to go to IR).  They could possibly create maybe one more, but I don't think they'll cut Cortez just yet.  The TE position is very thin this week.

What do you want them to do?
What do you think they'll actually do?

Time's yours.

I would love to speculate but I have no farging idea what Reid is going to do this week. His personel decisions have boggled my mind this year.

LJ is questionable, and I believe Spach is probable as of now.

Still depends on the other injuries.  fraley, kalu, Darth could all have serious injuries.   :paranoid

Richmond activated from PUP.   Maybe promote that 260 lb. FB, Miller, to block once in a while.

Plus, I'm hearing scuttlebutt that Fraley might be seriously injured.

Fraley's been pretty decent in pass blocking, but he's been very poor run blocking.  WAR Darilek!

Gargano reported that they are going to bring Chad in to look at his foot.

He also said that Fraley is getting a second opinion on his shoulder

If Chad's foot is good, he's back.  To be quite honest, I'd love to see Chad Lewis back on the team and really think that him coming back, the resigning of Akers/Westbrook, and the headache over/resolved.

IMO with everything that is going on and how weak the NFC is, I could seriously see the Eagles running the table or going 7-1 and still winning the NFC....or in the least making the playoffs and making TONS of noise.  And I think a SB this season would be a hell of a lot more rewarding then one last year.

I guess Scott Young probably gets promoted from the PS if Fraley's done.

I pay attention to the OL quite a bit...

Darilek is a finesse type blocker in my opinion. He relies on technique and placement moreso than physicality sometimes. I don't like that.

He was an OT at UTEP. He played OT and OG here and it wasn't very good. When they moved him to C he looked a little better.

But to be fair, he was really raw last year so when we saw him play he was not only a rookie but one who still needed seasoning.

Jamaal Jackson was ahead of him on the depth chart until he hurt his triceps.

Plus, Jackson can long snap, which may be necessary if Fraley is out (since Hank is the backup LS)
