Per PE.com, David Akers has agreed toa contract extension through the 2010 season.
Good job. :yay
Wow.
radical :yay
Merrill Reese classic response. That doesnt help the Oline block or the Dline penetrate. ha.
their just shoving it right up TO's butt.
i hope this isnt a mistake.
akers wasnt exactly lights out before the injury this season.
Good thing Akers is staying. Does any of this new deal hit this year's cap for him?
It's a proud day to be Dave's sponsor. ;D

it should.
I'm gonna go ahead and say meh. Akers hasn't been money in the bank this year and isn't even kicking off now... I like him and all, but he's been a flake this year and he's a kicker. Hardly anything to be excited about.

The way the O has been playing, we may never be in range for the rest of the year.
I hope this vote of confidence will snap him back into "samurai" mental shape.
Good news and all, but the least of our problems.
Meh, I say!
Sound like Akers is coming up on PE.com for a press conference.

The people you work with my just love you man...
the front office pulled another genius move. Sign the friggin kicker and have him suck off the organization right after you announced TO's gone for the year. I like it. :-D

Fixed.
Good move extending Akers :yay
I wish they'd rework Donovan's deal just to piss MeO up :-D
I would officially like to say
Booooo!
to this deal.
would you rather have cortez?
I'd rather have a healthy kicker that doesn't suck or whine about his sucking.
he'll be healthy. but he's good. so ill accept the waterworks when he hits gw field goals.
Yeah, when is that ever going to happen again?
I heard on TV that Akers' agent said that this is the biggest SB ever given to a kicker and one of, if not the highest, base salaries too.
TV is full of propaganda and lies. The only real truth is on the interweb. The interweb never lies.
