NEW ORLEANS - The Washington Post reports that the NFL will consider relocating the Saints to Los Angeles if New Orleans is unable to recover from Hurricane Katrina.
The newspaper cites three sources familiar with the league's deliberation on the matter.
The Saints have been based in San Antonio since they were forced out of the Crescent City by the damaging August hurricane. [/quote[
would force the rams to move to the nfc south?
That city has already proven itself unworthy of an NFL team.
The entire state of Arizona has proven unworthy of a franchise too, but nobody's moving their sorry asses.
This is gonna piss of those Texans...
Which is about the only good thing from this plan....

All the better reason not to establish yet another like it. Once it's in, it might stay.

That city has already proven itself unworthy of an NFL team.
It's also proven itself unworthy of a place on the planet, yet it's still there.

I wouldnt be surprised. Tags has a boner for LA's TV market even though the city has proven it wont support a football team.
All about the benjamins, baby. It's the corporate dollars and TV share he's after, understandably.

I feel you on that one. I'm planning on making that trip next year too. Anytime the Eagles hit the southeast, I'll get there and I've been looking for an excuse to get back to New Orleans. The Eagles are a pretty damn good excuse.

Triple Ditto. I had that marked as that year's roadie since the schedule became predictable.
Sucks. :boo

My dad has never been to America before and he has always wanted to go to NO. I said I'd take him there next time the Eagles were at the Saints. :boom
being in new orleans with 30 thousand hammered eagle fans will probably remind him of home quite a bit

Check the sig, dude!
lol...nice
No L.A. Team please! Football in L.A. would not be good. It would wreck everything. We'd be forced to watch Saints games and never the game of the week and we'd be farged. farg the Saints, let them rot somewhere else. We're good.

Seriously! They couldn't keep the Rams, Chargers, or Raiders, why would they be able to keep the Saints?
Incidentally, that doesn't mean I think the Saints should necessarily stay in New Orleans.

Exactly!
I've been able to watch every eagles game from the comfort of my own hovel.
And drink my home-made moonshine.
