I would have gone into more details, cupcake, but most of those are pretty self-explainatory and if you couldn't figure them out on your own I wasn't going to take the time to explain.

well, sugar buns, i just wanted to get as much input as possible from all the fantasy geniuses here, i pretty much could have figured them all out, but i started a thread for 2 reasons.  1) i love seeing my name as a thread starter and 2) i know that it would give me a chance for more witty banter with you

Calling that banter witty is a stretch at best.

I also have Brunnell and Collins, but I'm waiting for any possible updates on Brunnell's "injury" before I decide. I might go with Collins just because divisional games can often be low scoring affairs.

yeah, and it's not like Tennesee's pass defense gives you anything to worry about

my team is so bad and i continue to out think myself every week with hideous decisions that i pick who i think i should go with and then i go with the other player...worked last week as i won...im sticking with it

moral of the story is you dont want me telling you who i think you should play

Gates is good. No question. He isn't first round pick and second best TE in the league good, though. And you're an idiot for keeping him anyway when you could have just drafted him in the first round and kept another player. But hey, I was wrong on the Brunell thing, so you should probably never listen to me ever again.

he's not 2nd best TE in the league?  you're right, he's the best right now.  who would you put above him?  he's young and has a great RB threat to go along with him.  i'd say he's fantasy gold.

Dumbass,

You traded a first round pick and the second best TE in the league to get Gates. That's why I said

QuoteHe isn't first round pick and second best TE in the league good
.

B. Johnson @ Detriot

J. Plummer @ Kansas City

M. Brunnel @ St. Louis.

green & kennison killed me yesterday :boom  i need to make up some points.

who's more likely to have a HUGE, multi-TD game?

foster @ NO
or
gado @ bal

Title: Re: Start em/Sit em Thread
Post by: PhillyPhreak54 on December 18, 2005, 11:36:29 AM
Foster at NO.

Even though Gado has been money the Baltimore defense has been very good against the run. Just look at what they did with Denver last week.

Plus Stephen Davis is done for the year. Thats more touches for Foster.

Terry Glenn or Bobby Engram

I'm leaning towards Glenn b/c he's starting to heat up. Plus my opponent has Hasselbeck as the QB.

thanks phreak...i actually put foster in my lineup right before i posted that since davis is out.

as for your wr's, i'd also go with glenn....jackson is back for seattle today so he could take away some of engram's catches.

i'm still kicking myself over trent green since plummer sat on my bench. :boom

I had to pick between Brees and Green. I've gone with Brees all year since Green has blown ass but I liked the Green vs. NYG matchup. I'm glad I decided to take a chance with Brees vs. IND and go with what got me there.

Trent Green has sucked majorly this year. Clearly because he doesn't have Freddie Mitchell....

I laughed in the "faces" of everyone who really thought Trent Green was a very good to great fantasy QB at the start of the season, as I picked "lesser" QB's Matt Hasselbeck, Tom Brady, and Carson Palmer to start for my teams.

I am awesome.

If I'd played Chris Cooley this week, I'd be in the finals in all 3 of my leagues.  Instead, just 2/3.
