I had 9 and 20 :-[
Renegade was OK, but it was too much of a Double Dragon ripoff...plus the hit detection, jumping and "one shot, you're dead" sucked...
Mighty Bomb Jack had no point....it just kept going and you'd hit buttons and turn blue for no reason... ???
I guess Jaws just missed the list.
Bible Adventures was great. I liked the part where you play the "Nail Jesus to the Cross" minigame. But I couldn't hit the buttons fast enough, so usually he was just hanging there by his feet and one hand.
Friday the 13th was bad too
i remember being stoked as all hell for the x-men game. boy was that lame as hell.
I dunno about some of those.
Renegade, The Legend Of Kage and Tag Team Pro Wrestling were the shtein!
Especially Legend Of Kage where you were jumping all through the trees and stuff with the lightning in the sky. :yay

I liked Jaws...and Tag Team Pro Wrestling wasn't THAT bad...
I think I have a copy of Athena im my pile of carts. I could never understand the point of that farging game.
I had Ghostbusters that stunk i always got stuck at the same spot. Jaws was the same way. I always hated Operation Wolf it wasnt even close to the arcade version

That game was so damn frustrating, and I couldn't even beat the stupid JNES ROM (complete with save and recover points) until about a year ago. Any game where a giant boss character can only be beaten with the weakest possible weapon is a real winner... ::)
i never played one of those games

arcade Operation Wolf was awesome. Spent many quarters on that one.
Battletoads.
Hardest. Game. EVER!!!
how burgertime doesnt make any "worst list" is beyond me.
Yeah, that's another brutal one

:-D :-D :-D
NES came out when I was in late middle/ early high school, really past my prime video-game playing days (I was the man when it came to Asteroids, though :D). The only NES games I played with any regularity were Super Mario Brothers, Contra, Ice Hockey and Duck Hunt.
Contra was the bomb! :yay
I know that they're considered the "masterpiece" of NES, but I could never figure out the Legend of Zelda. Never did have the knack or patience for those kind of games.
My parents bought me Bible Adventures, and that's the only one in the top 20 I ever played. If that's only #19, numbers 1-18 must really, REALLY suck. REALLY.

Contra is still great - I play it on my buddies X-Box (ha ha box) whenever I get the chance.

That's one that was pretty decent in arcade form...but it sucked in translation for NES platform.
God knows why, but i had "Caveman Games"
That fargin game was so bad
My all time favorite NES games: Tecmo and Super Tecmo Bowl, Contra, Doube Dragon, Marios series, ExciteBike, RBI Baseball, Final Fantasy, Ice Hockey and Mike Tysons Punch Out. I lost once in Super Tecmo Bowl.
I loved Caveman Games.
Baseball Stars was/ is one of the best baseball games out there.....salaries, building up players....spent many an hours playing that farging game. :yay
Tag Team Pro Wrestling was alright. Notable for its influence on Homestar Runner too.

I thought Base Wars was pretty sweet. Baseball the way it
should be (i.e. armed robots fighting to the death).
And such an easy game to win. Hit every batter until they explode.
I agree that Ghostbusters HAD to find a way onto that list.

BIBLE ADVENTURES!!! :yay
Isn't that the one Rod and Todd were playing during Maude's funeral?
i think it was activision for atari but anyone remember that hideous 'journey' game...yes the journey like in the cheesy greatest hits group journey...they actually made a video game after those clowns
I had chubby cherub, that game was the ish.
Was wondering how a game called "Chubby Cherub" could be anything but great?
So, which episodes from the Bible were covered in "Bible Adventures"? So much fertile ground for NES hijinks, there. Did they go both Old and New Testament?
