Just curious if you saw that stated somewhere definitively ? Everywhere I check the story they end it w/ this "
NFL spokesman Greg Aiello said broadcast and television details were being worked out. "
thats what happened the last two times, so thats what i presume will happen again
I just hope DirecTv gets it. Or like PFT suggests...put the sumbitch on NFL Network
not happening. nfl likes making things unfun.
I know.
But I'll hold out hope until Tags and Aiello kill the idea.
they did. its only going to be seen in miami and kc areas. hey, itll be on the ticket sunday at 1. watch that instead of the eagles game.
I'll be at the Eagles game.
I know they said it'll only be in local markets, but no decision on DirecTV has been made yet.
i suppose it will follow the trend of the last two, like the local market thing did.

NFL also likes making things not violate multibillion dollar contracts.
QuoteWe are not extending the telecast to more markets because we want to adhere as closely as possible to the spirit of our longstanding policy not to conflict with high school and college football during their seasons [which means Friday night and Saturday]," NFL spokesman Greg Aiello said

QuoteChiefs | No National Broadcast of Friday Night Game
Thu, 20 Oct 2005 22:43:16 -0700
Rick Dean, of the Capital-Journal, reports because the NFL has an agreement in principal not to broadcast games on Friday nights, the traditional night of high school competition, the rescheduled game between the Kansas City Chiefs and Miami Dolphins will be shown only in markets within a 75-mile radius of the two competing cities.
