Hmmmm... this is a statement game, but I don't think we are as good as last season.
Eagles 17
Chargers 27.
I hope to God I am proved wrong.
Too early to put numbers down...
But I think the Birds win by at least 10.
If this game wasn't following a bye week, I say we get smoked. But I have faith in Andy Reid's undefeated-after-a-bye-week streak.
24-17
21-20
Eagles.
A healthier McNabb (no sternum to bug him) and healthier Dawkins, Walker, etc.....
Eagles 28
Tomlinsons 21
My gut feeling is the Eagles lose this one. The lack of running game is a fatal flaw.
Chargers 24
Eagles 13
Eagles 24, Chargers 20
If I'm wrong and the Eagles lose this game, I think they won't make the playoffs.
This is a must-win.
31-20 Eagles...I think they come out fired up and ready...
It always bugs me when people say we don't have a run game. We do, and it's not bad, just under-utilized.
We have to run to win this game. The best way to contain LT is on the sideline, need to eat lots of clock. Their D can be exposed. I still say we lose, though.....
Chargers 28
Eagles 21
Eagles 28
Bolts 27
Two minute offense in the 4th for the Eagles, who get the go ahead touchdown with :14 left on the clock.
Eagles 41
Chargers 28
W 23-2
I haven't seen an Eagles regular season home loss since they were at the Vet. Since I'll be there for this one:
Eagles 31
Chargers 24
Eagles 34
BreeGateLinsons 17
Complete collapse by the Chargers and that last 7 is a garbage TD. Eagles back on track!
Coming off an ass raping by the cowpukes, this philly team has alot to prove. The Chargers are hot right now and are due for a reality check. Its going ot be close, but i think Philly's Defense wins the battle sunday and keeps the chargers in check.
eagles -24
bolts -17
GO BIRDS! :evil
I believe the Eagles aren't as bad as the media idiots make them out to be. I see them trying to run more and more as they will find it eats of the clock and protects their defense. I also think that McNabb is still very good if allowed to pick and choose his targets. The Chargers are the better team, but they don't have the better scheme or overall talent, just my opinion...
If the Eagles win...31-13...if the Chargers win 28-25...
Just a FYI that the Chargers secondary is banged up
Quote
The Chargers were without six starters Wednesday as linebacker Steve Foley (abdomen), cornerback Drayton Florence (ankle), guard Mike Goff (ankle), center Nick Hardwick (ankle), wide receiver Eric Parker (ankle) and safety Terrence Kiel (ankle) all missed practice. They are all listed as questionable.
Defensive end Luis Castillo (hip), cornerback Sammy Davis (ankle), offensive tackle Shane Olivea (knee), defensive end Jacques Cesaire (shoulder) and running back Darren Sproles (ankle) did work Wednesday and are also questionable. Tight end Ryan Krause (foot) missed practice and will not play this week
Eagles 27
Chargers 23
The Chargers are for real... and I think they'll give the Eagles all they can handle and it 'll go down to the wire. I think the Eagles will look to regain that focus and that's what pulls them through.
In that regard, Dallas actually did us a favor.

This is a must-win.
I don't think this is a must-win as it's against an AFC team. 11-5 or 10-6 should still be good enough to clinch a playoff spot.

How are the Chargers a better team if they don't have a better scheme or overall talent? Better cheerleaders? Better trainers? Better waterboys?
It's imperative to win that the Eagles get a lead early and hold, if not expand, it. I don't have a good feeling about this game, but don't see that as any reason for me to pick against the 2006 Super Bowl Champions.
Eagles 33
Chargers 17
Collection of useless stats:
Based on Jeff Sagarin's computer rankings: Chargers by 2 using Predictor (most accurate), or Eagles by 3 (overall rating)
The cool yards/point bendability index: Eagles 16.2, Chargers 15.7 - Edge Eagles (teams have to "work harder" to score)
Overall scoring defense: Eagles 20.2, Chargers 21 - Edge Eagles
Overall scoring offense: Eagles 24.5, Chargers 29.3 - Edge Chargers
Turnover ratio: Eagles +3, Chargers +1
My initial gut feeling was yet another embarrassment for the Eagles: 24-6
But I think Andy Reid's post bye-week mojo is going to save this one for us - Eagles win, 24-21

Better team means they simply play better together, not that they are necessarily put in the best situation to win. I believe Andy Reid is just a better coach and I have always been a fan of your DC...he's tops in my book.
I have a bad feeling about this game....:paranoid
Eagles 17
Chargers 24
Wow.
A lot of people picking a loss.
i'll go against the trend phreak, Birds 28-17
This Week's Flash (http://www.philadelphiaeagles.com/articles/articlesNewsDetail.jsp?id=37830)
According to that Flash McNabb is going to rush for like 15,000 yards yo...
until mcnabb proves he can play 60 minutes without being affected by his injury the eagles will continue to get owned by good teams
sd got dallas' mass fax...three step drops quick releases spread it all around the field...and then sd has the added luxury of running lt behind this...deadly combo
27-13 sd

I can't say that I am confident about this game at all. That may be my hurricane anxiety talking, though.
San Diego 24

I think the Eagles have to win this

Good job, T.
But now I see that not only are people picking them to lose, but they're picking a significant loss.
I don't have a feeling at all this game. That's odd.
I'll go with:
Eagles 27
SD 23
This is going to be tough, but I'll be optimistic, as usual ;)
Eagles 34
Chargers 31
Such a weird feeling all week towards the birds. 3-2 has a lot of people skeptical.
This game will be ugly, everyone will panic but birds will pull it out 27-23.
As I stated earlier if we can get through this 5 game stretch at 3-2 I'll be happy. 6-4 will put us in good shape.
Go Seahawks!
everyone gets 1 cent when i hit this real pick
Philadelphia Eagles will score 27 points
San Diego Chargers will score 20 points
boo-yah!
Eagles - 27
Bolts - 16
Eagles: 2,453,240
Tomlinsons: 2
What? It could happen.
:D
Kearse gets like a hundred tackles and 16 sacks. 'I have nothing to contribute.

But I think Andy Reid's post bye-week mojo is going to save this one for us - Eagles win, 24-21
And the results for the useless stats predictors:
Sagarin: 0/1 - 1/0
Bendability: 1/0
Scoring D: 1/0
Scoring O: 0/1
Turnover Ratio: 1/0
C: 1/0
Interesting how some of these came into play:
- Extremely close game that could have gone either way in the last two minutes (Sagarin).
- Eagles dominated TOP, owned defense. Eagles bendability slipped a bit this week, giving up quick scores.
- Scoring D definitely kept the Birds in the game. 17 points is the key number.
- Eagles +2 on turnovers today.
We'll see which of these have any merit as a predictor as the season progresses... I'd like to think something systematic would be more accurate than my homerific wild-ass guesses.
