Title: Mike Lewis On PGL
Post by: PhillyPhreak54 on October 09, 2005, 08:03:48 PM
- Says he is embarassed for Philadelphia because this is a rival and its Dallas.

- Says maybe the defense has gotten too big-headed ad they needed a reality check

- Said that this was a division game and it was not a good effort and they should be ashamed.

He looked downright pissed. I like seeing and hearing what he said.

I kinda had the feeling they went into uberswagger mode.  Like they could just mail this one in and win (Defense wise).  I don't have any ideas about why the O sucked leaky donkey ass.

Lito got owned by Terry Glenn, that was just terrible.

Yep.

She's the legal owner of Tito.

JJ not giving him safety help was idiotic.

I still maintain that Lito lost the Super Bowl for us by blowing his coverage on a Pats TD. Sheldon Brown is far and away the best corner on the team.

Too bad the defense didn't get this fired up BEFORE the game. Or shtein, even DURING the game. Un real.

Mike, you wanna be embarrassed for somebody? Be embarrassed for yourself. You did nothing.

I had hoped the reality check was last week in the first half vs. the Chiefs. Guess not.

I'm guessing we won't be hearing about any inspriational half=time speaches that focused on the opponent 'winning the first half' this week. I'm disgusted. I need a shower.

Yes. Lito was hung out to dry today.

The Eagles have not showed up ready to play once this season. Until they do color me a doubter on the super bowl dreams and Cavier wishes.

I do think they have the tools and leadership to right the ship. Hopefully they do it!!

Is this the dreaded superbowl hang over?

Mike Lewis had the worst game I've ever seen him have yesterday. Just terrible all the way around.

The whole friggin' defense screwed up yesterday except Trotter. Bledsoe stands still, our line should have been getting sacks left and right. Lito Sheppard's supposed to be Pro-Bowl and Sheldon Brown's been blowing him away as far as corners go. Our O line was horrible, too McNabb got sacked 4 times and Westbrook couldn't even run the ball, if the line keeps playing like this, Westbrook's not going to resign. They got bigheaded after the Chiefs game and saw the bye ahead of them, but what the hell, this is the Cowboys for god's sake.

You can say that for just about every player on the Eagles team.  Sims and Greg Lewis seemed to be the only ones that showed up. LJ did before he twisted his ankle too.

And I blame a lot of those sacks on McNabb.  Some of them he ran out of the pocket and should have thrown the ball away...instead he takes the sack.  The first sack he took (after it was 7-0 Dallas) was him holding the ball too long, and that wasnt the only time he did that.  He clearly was having trouble making reads and I mean, if you see Dallas moving 8 guys up to the line of scrimmage, shouldnt you attempt to get rid of the ball ASAP or audible to a screen?

IMO I want McNabb to get the surgery and let Detmer play the next 3 weeks against SD, Denver, Washington...

Pfft...not Detmer.  IF that happened, and it won't, I'd feel much better with McMahon.

I don't get why so many people are so down on Neckbeard.  Okay, maybe I do because he looks like ass as often as not in practice, the preseason and garbage time for that matter but when he actually starts a real game he usually accounts for himself pretty well.  IIRC the last time he started a game was when we laid that major asswhipping on San Fran in that MNF game after McNabb broke his ankle.
