Remember when we were all talking about what we'd like to see more of from this offense, and a few of us, me included, stated that we'd like to see the shotgun more, and the bootleg, and playaction. Well, those calls dominated the second half comeback that the Eagles staged today. I'd be willing to bet that Dmac was in the shotgun at least 1/3 of all plays in the second half.
I still don't like that McNabb threw nearly 50 passes, but it beats watching Westbrook run into defenders.
Westbrook in the slot, Gordon & Moats in the backfield. Shibanga!
And did Reggie Brown play today??
You ain't kidding, why don't they run to the corners, spread the D and let Bwest pick his holes? He's not going to power it between the tackles.

They did it a couple of times, but the blocking wasn't that hot. And the running into defenders thing.
Westbrook's best off tackle through the 6 and 5 hole, no idea why Andy insists on running him between the tackle. Gordon looked good :yay
Gordon looked real good. I liked what he did in the open field the one time he caught a pass and had room to run. He ran up the gut much better than Bwest did.

Yeah. He was open on a couple of the times McNabb made a bad throws. He had a TD bounce off his hands which was a hard catch anyways.
But how about Reid going with the shotgun so much? I loved it.
gordon friggin rules...i knew it all along.
Like I was saying, I love them going with the shotgun so much, it's the weapon of a true pass happy wco. I'd be willing to bet we see it all season long, especially if we're coming from behing. No sense not using it, Reid is going to pass first and everyone knows it, but no team can stop it.

Being down 24-6 so early kinda forced him to throw so much.
But since Dallas can't cover for shtein - expect 50 more next week.

that might have added 5 extra attempts but the bottom line is the eagles are gonna throw the farg outta the ball every game...nothing more needs to be said than what aikman correctly pointed out that the eagles were out of their minds for still throwing the ball late in the game
theres no need to even complain anymore about the run pass ratio...it is what it is
Yep. Big Red's going to throw, throw, throw.

Screw Aikman, it was a ten point game with over three minutes left. How is that crazy for throwing?

chiefs have one timeout first down inside thier twenty with three minutes left and you call three passes...idiotic...theres no justification for that period
as for aikman imo he might be the best color guy ive ever heard...not only is he on point but its so nice to not have some dopey madden/millen wannabe ex offensive lineman doing the game
KC had 0 timeouts....by throwing you potentially stop the clock for them
they zero at that point??..i thought they had one left?...well thats even more reason not to throw the ball
I'm more along the line of putting up seven more and having the game out of reach. Apparently so is Reid.
Plus, we have no running game, you run and we go three and out, giving them the ball.
I've got to agree with IGY on this one. The Eagles, barring a fumble, would do no worse than a FG.
I'm not saying they should run it all three times, but at least once or twice they should have run the ball to use more time.

Not that there's any gaurantee they'd have gone 3 and out, but even if they did they'd have burned a LOT more of the clock since the Chiefs had no timeouts at that point in the game. It's simple clock management. They could have burned off practically the entire clock even if they didn't score. There's no BCS in the NFL so scoring more points doesn't mean jack. All they needed to do was kill the clock.
I agree with everything IGY said. Passing that late was a joke. Passing this much period is a joke, but it will never go away. Aikman is good at what he does.
i want 100% passes.
Joe Montana Football baby!
anyone catch Joe Buck quoting Reid as saying if it were up to him he would never run the ball?
who is it up to then? ha.
Sounds like another Joe Buck idiot comment, the more I think about it.
