Dawk 29yds, 1 td
Moss 99yds, 0 td
Akers got off a decent kick....not a great one but a good one. Of course, Eagles were off sides and now he has to kick again. :boom
His right hamstring went out on him again on that kickoff.....AND HE COLLAPSED
That looks reallly bad!
Sending him back out there after the first one was dumb. farging dumb.
Going to be a rough day on special teams.
Touchdown Raiders :boom
Terrible, terrible attempt at tackling. :boo
3 and out.
Offense stalls more than my truck.
Game is uglier than Corey Simon's gut so far.
Why the hell didn't they put France in?
I swear if he's not dressed tonight the Eagles are the biggest idiots and deserve to lose.

My Sunday Ticket's been acting kind of weird today too. Luckily for me the game is being broadcast locally so I can still watch it but it's really going to annoy me when this game ends if I still can't watch all the late games.
can the raiders challenge that last play during our timeout?

Not that much fun when the Eagles are losing, there's no run game at all, and McNabb looks like shtein.
yes but we still need to know whats going on.
McNabb just looks off :o
Eagles will have to punt.
Eagles Offense: Popped Clutch. :boom :boom :boom
Pretty good that the Eagles are only down 7-0 with no offense and no kicking game. Hopefully the D won't get too worn down.
Ty's warming up
Defense still stout, Raiders have to punt.

RUN THE DAM BALL
If there was ever a time to try and run the ball a little more, it's got to be when your QB isn't playing all that well. I don't know what's more frustrating, the fact that McNabb's off and missing open recievers or that Reid absolutely refuses to run. :boom

Sorry to hear about Akers folks. Losing a kicker sucks, especially when he's a good one. Good luck the rest of the game!
What an effort on that run by Westbrook.
TD #36! :D
TD WESTBROOK!!
wow they finally run the ball.. who woulda thought. sims on to kick XP
XP blocked farg.
Extra point blocked. That's going to be a problem all day. Our TDs will be worth 6, not 7.
cut simoneau! :paranoid
I wish we would have signed a backup kicker this week.
They knew David might not be 100%. You can't take that chance.
This game is making me nervous as shtein. The news about McNabb makes me worry even more.... :-[

Not a big deal. Our points are coming 6 at a time anyway.
Drugakowski gives the Raiders a 10-6 lead. FG really doesn't hurt at all since the Eagles won't be kicking them anyway.
27 yd return for Wynn.
43 seconds to go, ball on the 27. 2 timeouts.
they need to do a draw play.
McNabb's limping now. :boom
Can anyone give me a valid reason for McNabb to run that?
wow .. mcnabb looks like an old man running with the football. he's really hurt i think. maybe put mcmahon in.. at least manage the game.
Andrews. :boom
Beautiful punt by Dirk.
Ugly first half but the Eagles are only down by 4 points. Defense has been excellent so far and now it's time for the offense to step it up. Eagles get the ball to start the half so let's see if they can do something with it.
Hate to say it but kinda hope to see Detmer in the second half. There's just something wrong with McNabb.
If the Eagles lose this game, blame the Eagles TOTAL fargING lack of preparation and arrogance.
How the farg could you not bring France into this game? Are you stupid? I mean seriously are they farging stupid?
What a bunch of god damn morons. They totally deserve whatever price is dealt out to them. I don't give a shtein if Akers said he was OK too. It's a hamstring injury. They LINGER.
HELLOOOOOOOOOOO???
morons :boom :boom
Donny is really hurting. He looks bad out there.
Reid MUST, MUST, MUST run the ball more.
Defense is going to win this game, folks. We need some turnovers and a defensive score.
Go for 2 on TDs, Andy.
AND CLEAN UP THE GODDAMN PENALTIES...THEY LOOK LIKE GARBAGE!
**NEWSFLASH** Teams are going to defend the pass until we show them we'll run the ball. I'm not putting McNabb's zesty play in the first half solely on him. The Raiders are dropping everyone back into coverage. Also, farg the extra point with Simoneau shtein. Yeah, it was fun last week in a blowout, but now it's time to go for the 2 Pt. Conversion. Defense looks stellar.
I hope McNabb doesn't have that severe of an injury. Sports hernias are no fun.
Wow. I don't understand the rationale of signing a kicker and not activating them this week when Akers leg is probably its most tender. Smooth move by making that decision.
This game is really annoying me. The defense is playing extremely well but the offense just can't do anything. The run/pass balance is horrible as well.
Lets hope a new team comes out in the 2nd half.
One more time before the half is over:
RUN THE EFFIN BALL, ANDREW!
You guys act like it matters if we go for 2 or not. Whenever we score a TD they will get the ball at midfield because of Bartrum not being a kicker.
This is seriously a disgrace. UNACCEPTABLE. How can you not have a backup kicker ready? This is embarassing. They farged up big time.
McNabb looks more immobile than the Zona game where he broke his ankle. ???
I just don't understand the concept of deactivating a kicker the week you signed him. If anything he would be needed this week. Not four weeks from now when Akers hamstring might be better.
That is one of the most backward decisions I've ever seen.
Horrible personnel management. And it is simply unacceptable. I don't want to hear any homer excuses. It was simply a bad move. Period.

You are 100% correct. NO EXCUSES people. I don't even wanna begin to hear about the excuse where we have to cut someone. BIG fargIN DEAL. You play to win the games! What is the point of keeping someone if they don't help you win?

They were never going to use two spots for kicking. It was either start Akers or start France. They signed him to start games if Akers couldn't, not to sub in. Akers looked good in practice and was medically cleared to play. If they thought what happened on the opening kickoff was a real possibility, they never would have played Akers in the first place.
I'm just preparing SD.
First play, pass, batted down. Go figure. ::)
McNabb's off. Owens was wide, WIDE open. Way overthrown. :boom
Late hit on McNabb. Grant.
Not only was the hit late, but it was with the crown of the helmet. >:(
Great run by Westy. :yay
8 rushes for 54 yards. Almost 7 ypc. STAY WITH IT ANDY!
Westy's having a great running game. Might as well keep feeding it to him with McNabb in his current state.
Run Gordon, Run Westbrook, Run Gordon, Run Westbrook.....
Raiders are averaging 0.7 ypc. :-D

McNabb completes it to TO around the 4 yd line.
TD, 5 to 81! :)
TOUCHDOWN!! TO!

I don't know if it's worth the roster spot or not but maybe the Eagles should activate France for kickoffs and long field goals. It wasn't that long ago that the Eagles were doing that with Akers and Johnson.
I think Akers should be able to hit anything say 35 yards and under.

Not a good series. Can't be complacent with that 13-10 lead, guys.

Ouch.
My wife just said of Westbrook, "He is so small compared to the other runningback." And I thought a moment and said, "He is but makes up for with 50% more effort, and he is the right guy in the right spot." I really hope Westy sticks around. He's done more than any other guy so far this year. He's the ONLY reason we're winning this game on the offensive side of the ball.

I say activate France and let him kick next week. Keep Akers on the sidelines. I don't care if he wakes up in tomorrow and feels great and is launching 60 yard field goals. -- "I'm hurt pretty bad"

-- says Koy angled the ball differently because he didn't walk back as far
-- thought 30 yds was the absolute limit for him
-- says it hurts when he makes impact with the ball
-- "I want to be out there kicking every single time."
-- rehabbed hard all week and thought he was OK going into the game
-- says on that second opening kickoff, it felt like he was shot
-- says he wants to talk to doctors to get this straightened out because he felt like he let the team down with Oakland's starting field position
Yeah, I don't think anyone would loose any sleep if Mahe was deactivated for a week, or if Billy Mac took a seat so that we can rest a little bit more easily. Kickers are crucial. I think that was displayed in today's game. I don't want to hear anyone badmouth kickers.

reading though this thread makes me laugh with all the bitchin.... :-D
Some thoughts:
- Collins had WAY too much time to throw the ball. D-line was getting handled in pass protection.
- Run D was superb today. :yay
- Gotta give McNabb credit, he was wincing in pain the whole game but gave it his best effort.
- L.J. WTF?!?!? :boom Such a good TE then fumbles it away for no reason.
- Great game for GLew :yay
- Kearse was MIA.
- D'hani Jones had a fantastic game
- Westbrook :yay
- Despite the score, we need to establish the run early to keep defenses honest.
- Bad game all around by Parry.
- Hicks had another poor outing :boo
- Too many penalties :boo
- No Turn overs today for the D and 2 for the O in the redzone :boo

I can already hear their list of excuses:
- The Refs
- League wide conspiracy
- Drunkenkowsi had a hangover
- Moss was high
- Sapp was too worried about getting across the bridge to Camden before the end of the game
The refs?
Love the play where they blew the play dead while Westy was still running with the ball. :yay ::)

"Noo! Old Yeller! Why'd they have to do it?! Why?! Old Yeller! Come back, boy! Come back!"
Shtein, I think I might cry at that quote now.
Had to tape the game. This one looks like a good one to watch in Fast Forward. :boom
Agree, if they singed a kicker, play the kicker. Give Akers off through the bye week. Let him heal.
D-Mac (that one's for you, GF :D) is perhaps in even more pain than he's letting on. It seems to be affecting his play in two out of the three weeks.
Gutsy performace by #2.
Beautiful pass from McNabb to Westbrook.
We won. That's all that matters.

CSN postgame is all negative, asking if it was worth it to lose Akers for 2 months for one win... :boom

I almost had a heart attack after reading his post :paranoid
Sooooo, I'm taking it Swoop is dressed as either Luke or Obi-Wan to counter or mock the retarded Raiders fans who choose to disgrace the greatest movie villian ever.
He used Force Cheesesteak on Darth Raider before the game, then cut his head off.
Does it really make that much of a difference?
Then again I've gone and drank my monthly stipend in one day. What do I know...
