Yes! Another wonderful Sunday is upon us. Absolutely the best time of the year. What do you guys think we'll see today? Who do you think wins and loses? Who did you bet? Any fantasy troubles or triumphs? Post 'em up...
My bets today:
1. Jacksonville +2.5 @ New York Jets
2. Miami +3.5 vs. Carolina
3. Philadelphia -8.5 vs. Oakland & Cincinnati -3 @ Chicago (2 team parlay)
Miami, huh? Interesting. Crazy. Almost certainly wrong. But interesting.
That's my smallest wager of the day, but I am playing a hunch that the Panthers will come out a little flat. And I like the Dolphins defense so far. If they can get heat on Delhomme and continue to stuff the ground game, I think I have a shot. Even if they don't win, I only lose a little bit.
Their defense is good and its entirely possible that Carolina comes out flat, but Miami's offense so completely inconsistant (at best) that I would be hard pressed to take them with such a small line.
Anyway, I really like that parlay. Good luck.
Thanks, bro.
I took their impotent offense into consideration, but Carolina is ranked 20th against the pass. And as zesty as Frerotte is, he has an OC who loves the deep ball. And he has 3 receivers who can catch the deep ball.
I'll hope for an upset. Plus I hate the Panthers, so I took a little risk.
I'm usually able to pick one line and be right on it every time (i know, im a brilliant guy). Today its Cinci takin the points over Chicago. Since I'm posting this for the first time, I'll probably be wrong. But it wouldn't be the first time, so what the hell.
Dallas sucks.

way to post abosoluty nothing of conviction. you could at least wait until the next paragraph until you completely contradict yourself. ::)
Phreak's Miami bet is looking decent. At the half, they are up 21-17 against the anointed Super Bowl XL champion Carolina Panthers.
Rodney Harrison being carted off the field...

And they won too. Well played Phreak. :yay
Thanks...I got both MIA & JAX right,
But I lost my parlay because of the Eagles. :-\

I be right again.
Favre's whining on ESPNews. Threw another 3 picks today. Hang it up, Brett.
Holy crap!!
Did you guys see Larry Allen almost farg up his OWN kicker? He ran up to the kicker on the field and grabbed Cortez's facemask and was about to knock him out :-D :o
Missed it watching Favre moan.
San Fran up 14-6 after a long catch and run. :D Dallas got burned deep AGAIN!
1. Pretty decent win for Atlanta in Buffalo. The Bills are going to struggle with a young QB, but they could be a team that could rifle off 4-5 wins a row at the end of the year to get back to 7-9 or 8-8.
2. My Bengals are 3-0. Yes they beat three zesty teams, but its all good. Keep it Carson!
3. Sherman shouldn't go into work tommorrow. Back to back home losses to Cleveland and Tampa? And Tampa is 3-0? Ew.
4. Where has Indy's offense gone? I'll call their defense real once they shut down a good offensive team. Not Baltimore, Jacksonville or Cleveland.
5. Rams are on their way to Detroit. Amazing, fantastic come from behind home win against the lethal and vaunted Titans. Martiz is amazing.
6. Carolina is 1-2 after they lost to Gus Ferrotte and Miami. Pathetic.
7. I guess the Vikings can't be that bad. They can beat the Saints at home. Which, really doesn't mean much cause the Saints suck.
8. Well I picked the Jets to make the playoffs, but Phreak picked them to win the division. And now they're 1-2. And they barely beat Miami at home. Nice work!
Parrish with the pick and score for the 9ers on Bledsoe. :-D 20-6 with the try coming.
And it's good. 21-6 49ers.
Ahaha!
Bledsoe picked off...TD 49ers
21- 6 49ers lead :-D :-D :-D

Yeah...watch the highlights tonight, bro.
Pennington's arm is like a spaghetti noodle. Holy shtein was he terrible today. Fiedler had to play.
Never trust Pennington. He is zesty.
49ers are gonna beat Dallas. :-D

I've been debating all week long whether or not to play Bledsoe on my CF AFC team. I've got him and Green on my roster. I opted to go with Green dispite the fact that he hasn't thrown a TD yet this year.
So far it looks like a good move.
Henry and Williams burnt again by Brandon Lloyd. :-D
YEAAA BILL!
Good news? I started Alexander.
Bad news? My opponent started Brandon f'ing Lloyd and Torry Holt and Donny Mac.
I need Larry Fitz & Terry Glenn to score for me.
I have 163 pts in my main league. :-D
Jesus, the Cowboys have a ton of lameass bandwagoners at the San Fran game. It sounds like a game in the toilet bowl.
They're still losing to the 49ers. And will lose.
Pats/Steelers game is exactly what is should be. Physical game with multiple lead changes. I love football.
Veron Haynes just made an amazing play to bail the Steelers out.
The Niners deserve to be thrown out of the NFL.
Niners can't hold on to their lead!
Whiners suck.
Could the CBS announcers be sucking off the Pats anymore? I'm ready to vomit from listening to them.
Eli Manning tonight....SNF crew.....
Ouch, just saw Harrisons injury...looked pretty severe.

Thank goodness for the mute button.
Scott just did his old team a huge favor.
TD Steelers. Hines Ward.

This is an awesome game though. Pitt just tied it up at 20 with 1:21 to go.
The CBS guys have been all over the Pats dongs for a good 3 years.
This one is good though. I guess for picking purposes, my rooting interest rests squarley on the shoulders of the Pats. Yes. They do.
Vinatierri is awesome. He's the Tom Brady of kicking. :paranoid

At least he didn't beat out Akers for the Wachovia Uncommon Performance of the Week.

Yeah, but kicking game winning field goals in the closing seconds is not uncommon for Vinatieri. Kicking a game winning field goal in the closing seconds on one leg is uncommon for Akers though. :)
Cowboy fans make me sick. So many bandwagoners on the west coast.
Dallas still cannot defend the deep ball.
Oakland & Philly throw the deep ball (their next two opponents).
Dallas is staying in the bay area the whole week (I guess that SF-DAL flight is too long ::))
They gave up 31 points to the stinkin 49ers and were beat twice by Super Midget and the washed up QB last Monday.
SD is about to score again. :-D
The rout is on.

"Mike, you've got a booger right....there. Lemme get that for ya."
Eli Manning: "I don't read the papers at all."
Now there's a shock.

What. The. Hell.

Ted Nugent's really farging snapped this time. And I thought he was a Lions fan.
These are people who voluntarily live in Minnesota, Phreak. Their mental state is already suspect, costumes or no.

"You suck, your brother sucks, your father is a whiner and you haven't thrown a TD in two games. They've figured out your funny hand signals, bitch."
Giants score 17 unanswered points. 21-20.

How could we lose? Baldinger has been telling us that were the best team in the NFL. Brian Baldinger. A man full of credibility and respect. How could he lie?
Look at Ricky Midget Jr. there crying like a vadge.

ha. probably got a 90 yard penalty for hurting Mexico.
I hope he threw that glove away when he got off the field.
