The more I read Dr. Z, the more I realize he's one of the worst sportswriters around.

I won't disagree with anyone on the list but Muhamad at #2?! Ward at #3?! While Moss is #7 and TO is #6? Christ, he's finally gone senile.

I stopped reading his tripe a long time ago.  To wit...his 2002 draft grades. (http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/inside_game/dr_z/news/2002/04/22/drz_insider/)

QuotePHILADELPHIA
OK, so Andy Reid said he was looking for backup help, but three DBs in the first three picks? I mean, it would be different if he were playing in the same division as the Rams, but, c'mon now. Grade ... D

3 pro-bowlers (should be a 4th with Brown).  Good call.

QuoteOAKLAND
Al Davis is back in it, folks. Phillip Buchanon, the top deep cover guy dropped for some reason, and Al and his Raiders were there to catch him. Now he doesn't have to worry so much about Eric Allen's possible retirement. The other first round pick, LB Napoleon Harris, was the guy everyone thought Oakland would take right away. Got some good quality lower down, too. Grade ... A-

Buchanon, Harris, Jolley...they're all gone.  Good call.

They have an undrafted rookie tight end from Fresno State named Stephen Spach. I have it on good authority that his name was shortened from Spinach.

unless i dont understand it....this is the least funniest thing ive ever read

DALLAS
Jerry, baby, you broke the bank. You're the darling of the draftniks after you worked the trade and picked up the free one in the third round, who turned out to be Derek Ross, the Ohio State cornerback. Everyone knows that all Buckeye CBs are players. On top of that? Nothing but blue chippers -- safety Roy Williams, guard Andre Gurode and wideout Antonio Bryant, who's got Michael Irvin written all over him. Grade ... A

Yeah, I'm sure every offensive coordinator in the league would prefer Muhammed & Torry Holt over Owens & Moss.

What a fargin toolbag.

not to give anyone at Sports Castrated any cribility, but i would take Holt over Moss, for no other reason than Moss is bag of crap.

None of them are getting the job done on their new teams, either.

He's an idiot and I don't take the time to read anything of his...not worth the aggravation.

Does he watch the same games as we do?

What a douche.  I would argue that Harrison could possibly be #1, but other than that the list is garbage.

TO and Randy at 6 and 7?

What a joke.

Basically, his reasoning is that trying really hard makes a receiver better than talent/skill/production/stats.

I hate Randy Moss, yet ranking him under anyone but Owens and maybe Harrison is downright senile.

These asshats write rankings like this so just to spark controversey and discussion. If money was going on the table he wouldn't picks like this. I guess Z caught some guppies again.

FYI--Joe Montana was on the Dan Patrick show this afternoon and was asked the question: Who is the better WR, TO or Moss? Montana said TO.

Dr. putZ is also the same clown who questioned the Dolphins for selecting Dan Marino in the 1983 NFL Draft.  He was quite candid about it as he ripped the fish saying Marino will never fit in and that he was not that good a college QB.  moron.
