Short and sweet, not even 15 minutes
Akers - hamstring strain, they will keep evaluating him and see who's on the FA market
TO - abdomin pain, day to day
Shawn Andrews - nothing to report on the shoulder contusion.
Spadaro said this morning that they won't go after either of the Gramatica brothers. Damn...
Abdominal pain? Bad gas? Too many situps?

So no Kibble?
Is Norm Johnson still around? ;D
Morten Andersen! :evil
My fearless prediction: they sign Jeff Chandler while Thornburg takes a couple weeks "vacation".
Two words:
Chris Boniol.

Just change Simoneau's # to 3.

Just change Simoneau's # to 3.
And then release him and sign a kicker.
Morten Andersen---KOs too short--that's why Vermeil let him go last year
Gary Anderson---retired
Tim Duncan---left footed kicker the Eagles had in camp as a camp leg in 2003---not too bad, I think he was 3-4 on FGs and his kickoffs were down to the 1 or 2--tall kicker at 6-2

I wonder if TO's ab pain is really his groin. Hopefully it's just abs...Simon Gagne had the same thing 2-3 years ago and it lingered all year.

His stomach hurts from laughing at the 49er secondary so much.

But didn't it all start from his groin?
nope, it was an abdominal injury.
I don't know...I'm pretty sure it all started with his groin. They couldn't really figure out why his groin kept on acting up on him until they looked at his abdomen and found the problem. I'm trying to find a link to prove one of us correct...but I can't since it was so long ago. I'm just wondering if TO's is similiar.
It did start in his groid. TO had a stiffie going into the game when he looked at the 49rs secondary. Then he hurt his abdomen laughing at how easy it was to shread it.

QuoteGagne healthy after off-season surgery
(Sun, Sep/14/2003)
VOORHEES, N.J. - A much-needed off-season hernia operation has allowed the Flyers' Simon Gagne to resume skating in top form again.
Gagne, a 33-goal scorer in the 2001-02 season, was limited to just nine goals in 46 games last season because of two tears in the anterior oblique muscle of his abdomen.
The left wing underwent surgery in Montreal on June 12 and has been skating pain-free in the opening week of training camp.
Last year was disappointing for Gagne. He aggravated the injury on four separate occasions and played in only five of the last 34 regular-season games.
"Something was wrong," Gagne said. "I had the operation and when I woke up, the doctor said that I had had two tears in my oblique.
"Now everything is fine. It's fixed and I'm glad I had it. They said it might heal by itself but if I had a big one, it might never heal. I couldn't take a chance and go like I did last year."
Earmarked for stardom by none other than Mario Lemieux at the 2001 NHL All-Star Game in Denver, Gagne appeared to be on the fast track to greatness.
But, according to Gagne, he first felt the abdominal strain in a playoff game against Ottawa at the end of the 2001-02 season.
He never was at full strength last season.
"I want to put that year aside," he said. "I want to show I'm not the kind of player that gets hurt a lot. It's something you can't control but I think it's important to play every game."
Coach Ken Hitchcock has talked about his young players getting more of a role on the team and Gagne probably heads that group.
"It's going to be fun to take that challenge," Gagne said. "Justin (Williams), Jimmy (Vandermeer), Radovan (Somik) are that type of guys. We're ready for that challenge."
In training camp, Gagne has been skating on a line with center Michal Handzus and right wing Williams.
Hitchcock said: "Simon wasn't the same player last year. He wasn't as quick and his quickness is in his one-on-one ability. It wasn't there last year.
"He's excited now. I think having him back healthy, he's going to have a way better year."

According to WebMD, there are a zillion different types of Hernias. I wonder if Gags was a groin hernia and then when they started the operation on his groin, they then found the abdominal tears?
You ARE persistent, I'll give you that. :-D
NM, I got it now. He had groin problems, then his stomach "popped"...MRI's were inconclusive...went in for groin/abdomen surgery anyway and found the tears.
Just hoping TO's situation isn't similar.
Andy said it's something he's had throughout his career.
