QuoteMathis injured his left knee in practice Wednesday, and the Falcons fear it could be serious. He was on crutches in the locker room and being sent for an MRI exam.
"It's at least a sprain," coach Jim Mora said. "It locked up on him. He'll have to be evaluated further before I can tell anything more than that. It's not good."
I don't wish injury on players, but sometimes you pay the price for being a loud-mouthed idiot.
KFFL update:
KFFL has learned Atlanta Falcons CB Kevin Mathis (knee) will miss the remainder of the season after blowing out his knee Wednesday, Sept. 14. He suffered a torn ACL, MCL and PCL.
Oh give me a farging break. If some team had danced on the Bird and one of our players took a swing we'd all be creaming ourselves over them. Karma, my ass.
I'd love it, you're right. Nothing wrong with being a hypocrite.
The only difference is TO and God are boys, so TO probably worked something out to avenge Trott.
Owens does not know, nor has he ever known Lemmy Kilmister.
$10 bobby taylor's a falcon by the end of the week.

Just an FYI, the Trotter thing happened 15 minutes before the team danced at mid-field.
The whole "you jumped on our logo" thing is bullshtein. Come on...these are professional athletes, not street thugs.

Try telling that to Raven Fan.
Anyone who's ever played any sport knows that little things like that help to get your team fired up. And things like defending your home field also help get you fired up. It's not thuggery, it's sports.
It is thuggery. In fact, it's thuggadocious.
Nah, it's just looking for excuses to get fired up.
Clearly, the Birds needed an excuse. They couldn't have been less fired up.
This made me smile all day yesterday. Here's a prediction that makes me happy too; Vick is not going to make it through the season. :)
That's really going out on a limb there, considering Vick runs constantly and has the pain threshold of a 6 year old anemic girl.
If they lose Vick for the season they have a better chance of winning the NFC. Their receivers would probably fall to their knees and thank god for striking him down.

Ty Detmer is their backup.
No. Matt Schaub is their backup. And they know how good he is.
Matt Schaub is theyre #2 i think. He played much better than vick in the preseason and is certainly a better QB than Ron Mexico just not a better runner
Schaub even made McMullen look good in college. Future Hall-of-Famer for that alone.
i saw this on espn news last night during a break from work. in the back of my head i was thinking a philly fan tracked him down and nancy kerrigan-ed him for starting that shtein monday night. karmas a bitch!~! :yay :yay
