Title: Lynn Swann for President in 2012!
Post by: PoopyfaceMcGee on September 14, 2005, 02:37:12 PM
or at least governor of PA in 2006 (http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/columns/story?columnist=garber_greg&id=2159013)

How does an ex-Steeler with no political experience expect to take away Eagles territory from a guy like Rendell?

Rendell will thump him.

Hey, he's the Chairman of the United States President's Council on Physical Fitness and Sports. That's more experience than his boss had when he ran for governor.

Unfortunately, Eagles territory covers maybe 1/3 or the state.....if that.  Once you get west of Harrisburg it's pretty much all Steelers.   :-\

Having said that though, I really don't think that a governor would be elected based on the football team he roots for.  And if he is, then I'm packing my bags and moving to Canada.

I don't care who it is...I'd probably vote for nearly anybody over Ed Rendell.

I saw a quote in the book I'm reading (If Football's A Religion...Why Don't We Have A  Prayer) I found funny...

"Pennsylvania is the only state in the US where the governor wants to be a sportscaster and a sportscaster wants to be the governor"
