Title: NFL Week 2 Philly Area TV Schedule
Post by: MDS on September 13, 2005, 10:35:24 AM
Getting the extra game on monday is nice, but other than that, its weak.

Sun 100pm- 49ers at Eagles (meatcicle/Moose/Fat Moron) FOX
Sun 415pm- Jets at Packers (Eagle/Wilcotts) CBS
Sun 800pm- Phillies at Marlins (Miller/Morgan) ESPN2
Sun 830pm- Chiefs at Raiders (replacement idiots) ESPN
Mon 730pm- Giants at Saints (the real idiots) ABC/ESPN
Mon 900pm- taterskins at Cowboys (Michaels/Favre's boyfriend) ABC

The Eagle might be the top Fox game, nothing else stands out (maybe Falcons/Seahawks at 4). So, I figure we'd get one of the "top" three announcing teams. Yea, that might mean Tony Siragusa. Joy.

Only two games because of having a home game with the opposite network DH. Works out that this only happens another time or two during the season, but its a tough sunday with just two games. We have two other options at 4 on CBS (Den/SD or Mia/NYJ). They picked the worst matchup, but the other two aren't standouts.

Go Sillies!  :paranoid

For real? That's my question and thats why I started the DirecTV thread.

i need CSN.

Yea, you can't flip directly from something on DirecTV to CSN. You can put normal cable and DirecTV on the same TV, it just takes time to switch between the two. You could also have DirecTV on one TV, and CSN on the other.

Overall, not the best move to make. Sit back, relax and enjoy zesty football between Green Bay and Cleveland.

No way dude...I'm set on getting it now. I like what wingspan said and I'll figure out how to keep CSN. I gotta have the Phils & Sixers

I am with you 100%. No matter HOW much I hate Comcast, you won't catch me ever losing CSN.

Oh man, the Browns @ the Packers? Ouch.

I believe the Pats are playing the Panthers next sunday too. That would be a far better game to watch. It might be at 1:00 though.

:-D I'm basing that comment on how the DirecTV is set-up at my uncles house. It took over a minute to change.

I have like 20 channels on Temples cable set up and digital cable DVR at home. I've had very little expierience with DirecTV.  :sly

The Phils game is an ESPN one?  ESPN.com says it's a UPN57 game...  ???

Sunday night's ESPN game is actually Mike Tirico and Sterling Sharpe, not the usual goobers.  Those guys will be in New York....

BOOOOOO

My choices:

Pats at Panthers
Rams at Cards
Browns at Packers

Looks like a good day for yardwork (although I'll still probably watch Pats and Panthers)

I love his sideline reports.

farg stick Stockton: Let's go down to Tony Siragusa on the sidelines... Tony?

Tony: Yea guys, I noticed the crowd down here is pretty loud. Back to you guys.

He adds absolutely nothing to the broadcast, but it's so funny.
