Just got them today. Theyre great, except the fact that the left eye is a farging pansy. So easy to put in the right, left eye already lost me one.

Whats annoying is I felt it hit off my pants, then it had a little wet mark there, and obviously I cant find it.
And teeball practice is on.
yeah. walked right into it.
might as well save myself the humility.
i wore the same pair of contacts(monthlys) for 5 months...big mistake
oh and no matter how lazy u feel, take them out at night
i lost one last night when i was in drunken sleep state
poop!
I wore them for years. I've gone back to glasses for the most part. Eventually, I'll get surgery, but I'm happy to let a few hundred thousand more guinea pigs roll through that apparatus before I submit.
Take them out at night. And do yourself a favor: wash your hands before you put them in or take them out. I know it sounds obvious, but you'll get so accustomed to putting them in and taking them out that you'll want to skip that step. Don't.
im not wearing them for now because i dont want to get a lazy eye.
Don't wear them in the shower.
good call. my friend needed surgery one time to get it out because he forgot he had them in.

You can still close your eyelids, you know.
You're one of those people that keeps their eyes shut in the shower?
Yeah. When I put my face in the jet of water, I shut my eyes. Call me weird.
20/20 bitches.
I have HORRIBLE eyesight. I've been wearing contacts since the 9th grade and I am SO ready for Lasek, but...I also have a dry eye problem that might prevent me from getting it. Which, by the way, would suck big time.
I've been wearing contacts for the better part of 20 years now. I hate disposable lenses. I get the ones you can wear overnight and I leave them in for weeks at a time. Never had a problem with them. The only trouble I ever have is that I usually forget to take them out if I go swimming. I've lost quite a few lenses in swimming pools because I forget to keep my eyes shut.
Also, just a few weeks ago I was showering and some water got in my eye and when I rubbed my eye, the contact lens somehow or another made it's way on top of my eye. Took me like 20 minutes but I was finally able to get it out. That felt farging wierd.
20/15 ;D
LASIK rules.
I'm a solid 20/20 now, and eyes aren't overly dry anymore either. I had my surgery 2/14/05, and I will say that it takes probably 3-4 months to 100% fully recover. After 4-6 weeks, my night vision was still a little sketchy and my eyes would constantly go dry on me. Now, no problems whatsoever.
I hated contacts and glasses. I split time between the two. I can think of a lot of ways to spend $1995, but LASIK was the absolute best money I've ever spent. Ever.
My father had LASIK a few years ago. He loved the results, and he wore glasses for over 30 years.

You should be able to find a reputable doctor that will do it for $1000/eye, yes.
