Well the Eagles have managed to miss this list. My favorite was going to be the 2002 Rams, but the 2000 taterskins stole the show...

Quote
2000 Washington taterskins
8-8
The taterskins finished 10-6 in 1999 and owner Daniel Snyder spent lots of money in the offseason to make them a Super Bowl contender. After signing the likes of Bruce Smith, Deion Sanders (pictured) and Jeff George, the 'Skins entered the season with the league's first-ever $100 million payroll. In addition, they added rookies Lavar Arrington and Chris Samuels with the No. 2 and No. 3 overall picks in the draft. Despite having all of those weapons, the 'Skins posted an 8-8 record, and coach Norv Turner lost his job midway through the season.

Should've had the Houston Oilers somewhere in there.

2000 taterskins = 2005 Vikings.  8)

2000 was the year the taterskins became my very favorite team to hate. I always hated them the most, but never really enjoyed it that much. That year, it became fun.

I can't view the site from work.  Are the 1998 Vikings on there, or are they only looking at teams that had high expectations before the season?

Yea, teams with expectations before the season. They just got jobbed with Anderson missing his first FG of the year at a pretty bad time.
