i'd make that trade.  mainly because you could use a real good receiver and you seem to have every other RB in the league.

No. farging. Way.

McAllister is a machine when healthy and Haslett has committed to running him more this year. Moss is great and all but I would never trade a top flight RB for a top WR.

I'd do it. Their fantasy numbers are similar over the past couple of years, and Moss is poised to have a great year at Oakland, assuming they adhere to their propensity to throw the ball deep.

Plus you get Akers!!!!! I bet he's a kick.  :yay :yay

Irregardless how dedicated Haslett is to running the ball, the suckass Saints will probably be throwing to try to catch up.

Listen to this man.  You do not trade away your #1 RB when you start 2 RB with a WR/RB flex.  Try to trade him Mike Anderson while he is the starter in Denver.  Quote him the preseason stats and see if he bites.

I ended up trading JJ Arrington for Hines Ward with another guy.  With my RB situation, I could afford to do it.  Like that deal?

Someone traded you a top 7 WR for a rookie RB that may or may not be any good on a team that may or may not be any good? Well done.

I like it, but I don't like it.

Arrington's a rookie and the Cards are such an unknown entity so it's hard to say whether or not he's really going to be productive.

Ward is proven and capable of putting up #'s but I'm a little concerned about his fantasy productivity now that (a) Burress is gone (b) the arrival of that big TE they drafted who will make for a great target near the endzone (c) the fact that Staley is out at least 3 weeks and Bettis is out opening day.  Will the Steelers be able to effectively run the ball to help set up their passing game? and (d) Big Ben is the QB and despite his winning record last year, his stats are mediocre at best which means his receivers will suffer as well.

But when it comes down to it though, I'd rather go with a proven player like Ward who's capable of putting up big #s instead of an unproven rookie and given the fact that you've still got Mike Anderson on the bench, I'd say you made a pretty damn good deal.

Bottom line is, though...I have depth at RB to the point where Arrington would start the season riding the pine, but I didn't feel great about my receivers.  Ward has never been a big redzone guy, but I think his TDs will increase this year.  So, I basically traded a backup for a starter.  I can live with that.  I think, overall, my team is stronger with Ward than it was with Arrington based on how the rest of my roster is set.

The Arrington trade was smart.  Avoid the other trade.  Especially so in light of your recently depleted RB depth.  Add a kicker from the wire and drop someone.  Probably I. Bruce.

I like it.  See is Shipp is still on the waiver wire.  He may end up being the starter in Zona.

No, the Arrington trade was in place of the original offer, which I opted against.
