With all the talk about the Eagles not wanting to pay their players that I've been reading & hearing the last few weeks, I thought it would be interesting to see where their player salary costs stood in relation to the other teams in 2004.
While players & fans sometimes disagree with the contract values placed on individual players, I think the myth that they are "cheap" is a fallacy.

Total Player Salary Expenditures: 2nd $105 million
#1 are the Skins @ $117 million
Average Team Player Salary Costs: $83.7 million
Player Salary Average - Starters: 3rd $76 million
#1 Texans @ $79 mill
#2 Jets @ $78 mill
Average is $56 mill

Yes we are very,very cheap, and in other news: NHL players are drastically underpaid for a dead sport. ;)
