LOL...Because of TO's hissyfit, the Eagles aren't talented enough now. Even WITH TO on the team playing. :-D

Fine by me actually.  The Eagles have always rose to the occasion as underdogs.  Now let the media circus spend 24/7 watching the Panthers and leave the Eagles alone to handling their business.

Agreed. I love it.

However, the writer clearly missed that the Panthers lost their starting FS for the season to a torn ACL and MCL.

I haven't seen the Panthers play yet this preseason, but isn't Cris Jenkins still coming back from injury? I remember reading about a month ago that he might not be ready for the season.

I don't mind the Eagles being underdogs because of TO...let the media and other teams start to assume the friggin' window is closed, it'll make it all the easier.

While Colin Branch is a good player, the loss of him won't be too much of a hit for them. Idrees Bashir will step in most likely and he was a starter in IND. And if he struggles they can move Mike Minter over to FS and move Thomas Davis back to SS instead of WLB.

But the Eagles losing Justin Jenkins has become monumental. LOL

Well, we all know what happened to the media's choice last year (Seattle). They lasted about 3 weeks.

Actually it lasted 4 weeks, 3 quarters, 9 minutes and 26 seconds.  ;)

Blah, Blah, Blah, who the hell gives a farg what these hacks say! I know that it is only the preseason but the Eagles look extremely crisp, if they aren't in a 5th consecutive NFCCG I will be shocked.  Personally I think they will win the SB but I am just a tad biased.

I know Carolina is the sexy pick for a lot of people, but most seem to forget that we didn't have Westy that game and Thrash and Pinky were are starting WRs.  That was the only way they beat us.  They really don't scare me much.

a TO meltdown and/or an injury to westbrook are the only things that would stop the eagles from getting to detroit

or of course a rash of injuries thruout the team...but thats goes without saying and can be applied to any and every team

Except the Pats. They're super-awesome and have 52 guys that can do everything.

Funny isn't it? He was struggling to make the team and now him being hurt is somehow a vital loss to the WR corps. :P

If Samp stays healthy we're cool.

I think it was in Madden 01 or 02 I returned like 16 kickoffs for td's with him.  Which is proof positive that no matter how realistic football games are getting, they are still no where near the real thing.

As soon as Hoge preaches the Eagles' demise, it's official:  We're going back to the Super Bowl.  8)

After 4 NFCCGs and 1 SB appearance?

Ummm...nope.

I like it like this.  Let the 'genuises' of the media pick the darling teams that never seem to do much of anything (*cough*Indy*cough*).  Let them talk about about QBs whom will never really amount to much beyond highlights or stats.    And let them scratch their heads like they did after Reid, Childress, and Johnson orchestrated a full-scale demolition of Green Bay last year.

I can't wait for this season to start.

the thing is they figure its been 4 straight yrs now....something has got to give...so they wanna be the geniuses who predicted the great demise. i mean why not? most everyone else is already calling us the class of the NFC. why not be the idiot analyst who takes a gamble and looks like a genius if it happens to be true?

Easy deadline for the writers....just take the crap copy you wrote about the Eagles for the last five year, change a few names, and submit it to your editor.  Doneski.

Is it just me, or did we draft a lot of guys this year with big foreheads?
