QuoteMeanwhile, Correll Buckhalter, who limped off the practice field Friday morning, has a bruise on his surgically-repaired right knee. Buckhalter could be back on the field as early as Saturday.
:yay
Boo!
Hey, we're better off losing Pinkston than Buck right now.
Buck's gonna get hurt sooner or later, and I'd rather lose him while there's time to find a crappy replacement.
Buck is a lot more important than Pinkston. Not saying Pinkston isn't important, but Buck is more.
For his great blocking and receiving skills? His durability?
lol, Dorsey will be available all year, bank on it.
His power running, his moves, and the depth. We have a lot more WR depth than RB depth. At least quality depth anyway. Westbrook is fragile as well. If we lost Buck AND Westbrook we are completely screwed. We need a quality 2nd RB, and Buckhalter is that guy.

Welcome back to 2002. I'm not buying what you're selling.
I agree that Buck at this point is more important than Pinky. We have Lewis to step in and fill in the void set by Pinkston, if Buck went down we really don't have anything at this point. Now it will be imperative for one of the young WRs to step up whether it is Perez, Jenkins, McMullen, or Brown. I would really like to see Billy step it up but at this point that is just hope.
At least Buck has proven he can be a threat. Pinkston has only proven to be a role player. Buck had, what 7/8 TDs in 2002? We need a change of pace back.

Dude can't even catch the ball consistently in practice at training camp...don't hold your breath. The word's not hope...its MIRACLE.
I can't believe how much you guys dislike and underestimate Pinky. Oh well, and we move on. Reggie, Reggie, Reggie!! Now we can see how good Greg Lewis is when he gets more defensive focus as the year goes along, not going against some backup safety, 3rd corner, etc.

We agree on that. Someone make a note.
That said, I'm glad Buck looks to be okay. Glad we didn't lose both of them.
The Silver Lining- we get to argue about something other than TO !!!!!
Ha ha. Listen to me: "we"
I'm such a loser.

12th man baby!
Buck told me that you all are going to eat your words. He's determined, stable, agressive, and ready to crack some skulls. All the offseason 'training' he did with Wesley Pipes will bode well for him this year as he proudly and readily takes over the workhorse role in this offense.
He just experience some fatigue from his surgically repaired knees. It's hard when you have to carry the whole team on your back. ;D

I'll be impressed if he can make it into December without a limb falling off.

Good one GF ;)
one good thing is that the injury happened the first week of camp so Greg Lewis and Reggie and the others have the entire preseason to learn etc.

Yeah. Now they know the chances of being called upon for serious production are hella better. Time to go to work and pay attention.
