Film celebrates
2004 Eagles
The Eagles, in conjunction with Hart Sharp Video and Bombo Sports and Entertainment, are distributing E-A-G-L-E-S, The Movie, which the team describes as "a rare, behind-the-scenes documentary highlighting the team's magical 2004 season through the eyes and actions of their fans." Details about the movie will be released at a noon news conference today at the NovaCare Complex.
The sad part of this is, that Garbage-carrying dickhead will be a big part of this, I'm willing to bet.

It would be hard to make the thing without TO, I agree. What a shame.
I wouldn't call 2004 'Magical.' A lot of fun followed by crushing depression would be closer to the truth.
i agree
it would have been somewhat more magical has it not taken them three choke jobs to make it
magical to me=some kind of cinderella story or overcoming amazing odds to make it...neither of which apply...not trying to demean the nfc champ win because it was one of the greatest sporting events ive ever been too...but magical?...i think not
then again its just part of the promotion of the 'movie'
angelo was talking about this earlier. they followed some fans through the entire season, didn't mention anything about the garbage man though, and i would imagine he would have if he was in it.
this production company did this for a bunch of teams too.
Nah, I don't think everyone's favorite Eagle fan is in it. They just had him on the radio and he said he couldn't wait to see it. Didn't sound like he was a part of it, thank god.
why does everyone hate him so much...is it simply because he was front and center for the mcnabb booing...or is it more than that
That's one of them, but it goes further than that. His attitude that he is the face of the Eagles fans is bullshtein. He thinks that because he teamed up with Cataldi to become the face of a group that represents one of the incidents that gave this fanbase a black eye entitles him to something.
farg that guy. He doesn't represent me. I don't care if he went to a game with a burst appedix and sat through it. But he'll tell everyone like that makes him a superfan or something.
And take the shoulderpads off and get a real jersey. Not some chinsy piece of shtein that momma sewed up for him with 67 different numbers on it.
Irrational hatred of stuff is 90% of what makes us Eagles fans so loveable. shtein, we even hate our own. How can you not love us?
i guess i dont care about him enough...that plus the fact that i know that I AM the face of the fanbase makes it hard for me to hate him
i pretty much echo phreaks sentiment but deep down don't give a rats arse about him until he's going wild on some tv/radio show then i realize what an arse clown he is.

I dont give a shtein enough about the guy to keep this thread about him, but he walks around the tailgates trying to act like he is the most badass dude on the planet. A real douche. We tailgated with "Spike" from the Raiders black hole a couple years ago and he was cool as shtein. Its a damn shame when id rather tailgate with a Raiders fan than the supposed "face of the Eagles" douchebag.
anyway, I dont get the backlash about the movie. It could be trash, it could be good. I'll watch it before I make a judgement.
apparently they picked some really hyper eagles fans to follow, should be funny to watch.
:-D :-D :-D
Some guy called in and blasted the trashman for thinking that he was hot shtein and trying to take credit for bringing the E-A-G-L-E-S chants. He said the guy who started it was some guy way back in the late 70's/early 80's.
So Angelo lets his boy call in for the 2nd time this morning and he was crying like a bitch saying "I never took credit for starting that...I only helped bring it out more".
So now he's trying to say that he is one of the people who brought the attention back to the chant.
He makes me want to vomit.
when i was listening to the 1980 NFCC Game last week, i distinctly heard the eagles chant numerous times.
does anyone know of anyone who might have recorded any of the games wip did last week

Over the weekend I called a buddy of mine from Venezuala a douchebag. He asked what a douche is so I told him to ask my girlfriend. She explained it as a "vagina cleansing device." So now he runs around the office calling people vagina cleansing devices.
Any idea if anyone from CF is on it?

I wish I had taped it. The whole program with the rebroadcast, interviews, etc. lasted about 5 hours!
My Uncle entered my Grandmom into some contest for a free private screening of this movie at the NC Complex, lunch, and a free copy. Well she won and they're going to see it Tuesday. I'll post his review on here once I hear from him.

LMFAO :-D
Some clips of the movie are on this page...check out the Dallas one...its CLASSIC (http://www.philadelphiaeagles.com/homeNewsDetail.jsp?id=32393) :-D
PS...the fans that were followed during the season were the ones that did those commercials last year on TV.
Phil Allen and the Dallas clips were great :yay
"I wouldn't make a baby with a Dallas fan."
I spit my coffee out when I heard that one.
Just farging awesome. :-D :-D :-D :-D :-D
Umm, was that guy on the train reading something written on his hand.

No, the dallas fan handed him his license or something to show he was actually from Dallas.
Before that. When he's on the train, standing up, with his head down. Right in the beginning.
I went to the premier last night at the Kimmel Center.
Movie was pretty good. Alot of the time was spent laughing at all the silliness of what other Eagles fans do, because you can so relate with their thought process and sympathize with their pain.

Uncle sent me this email this morning as well as a bunch of pics from the premier/NC:
QuoteIT was great.
Red carpet arrival.. 6 Cheerleaders (3 on each side) there to greet us..
Walk in to the main lobby and the have the Halas trophy sitting right
there.. Great tour.. it a beautiful facility..lots of History and of course
Green and White.. The coolest part was the LockerRoom, They told us these
are the Lockers they the Players use the most.. so.. all of there stuff from
last season is still sitting there.. Check out T.O.s locker he hung the
letter from his Dr. saying he would NOT release him to play in the S.B..
Then we had Dinner in the cafeteria, and Matt Yalloof got up and
Talked/Joked a little bit about the Eagles and T.C. , Then they raffle off a
bunch of Eagles autographed footballs, Helmets, a bunch of shtein (best thing
a Dawkins Auto Football) well.. The first name picked... My MOM =) She won a Autoed C.Buck mini helmet. Really cool.
After dinner, we were taken to the Eagles Auditorium and watched the Movie..
it was great, you'll love it. Also, When you see it watch for a HOT brunette
running the football with I think a Westy jersey on.. Its my friend Karen..
really cool.
Anyways, here are the pics.
Get back to me.

Go on.
What region code does it have? ???
phil owns that movie...to me overall it was disappointing tho...i thought the parking lot reinactments were mad gay
by far the best part of the disc is the phil outtakes and the eagle promos...those are classic...the story about phil being upstate was funny as shtein
I hear that dude Phil on WIP all the time...he talks baseball a lot.
I bought it this past Saturday up at camp, but haven't had a chance to watch it....

what were they reinacting?
just different plays from thruout the year...theyd play the call by merril and show tailgaters in the parking lot doing the play...it was beyond annoying and served no purpose whatsoever

What about the Birdman dude. The one who wears the tights and makes Eagle noises? He's better than trashman. I met that guy in a sportsbar for a preseason game. He was wearing that shtein to the bar in preseason out of state! I was in Vurginia Beach at the time. He's a better superfan. Maybe he should hit the gym though... :P
heh, anything is better than trashman. Ive met birdman a few times while tailgating. He is such a superfan that he didnt even have season tickets at the time.

Couldn't agree more.
Just finished watching it. The highlights and hearing Merrill's voice were the best parts. Overall it was nothing special, just a bunch of average Eagles fans mixed with some highlights from the season. If they would have made a DVD with a game by game recap and some behind the scenes footage of the locker room, player and coach interviews, and
some fan interaction mixed in, it would have been much better.
I'm not buying an Eagles season DVD until it ends with us bringing home the Lombardi. A season can't truly be memorable until it ends with the ultimate accomplishment. Last season was great up until the last game. Then it just makes me want to vomit.
I own the 1998 season review. It sickening to watch but it serves as a good reminder of how far this team has come.
