Title: NFC Draft Grades
Post by: Tomahawk on July 20, 2005, 06:10:18 PM
My team will kick ass. I'll trade any WR for a comparable RB.

Never played in a 12 team league before, but looking at the diluted final rosters posted so far...we all suck. It's going to be a battle to determine the least suckiest.

Should be fun, only 7 weeks 'til the opener! Wonder how many of my dudes will be on IR by then.

I feel pretty good about my draft, for the record.  Particularly considering my draft spot.  Jamal Lewis at 12 was a steal.

Something I read said Jamal Lewis wouldn't see much of training camp and might not be in football shape until the end of September. But, that's one guy's opinion, and he's a solid pick, either way.

I think he's due for a bigger year now that the legal stuff is behind him.  I was surprised he was there at 12.  But I guess we'll see.

I was able to take advantage of everyone's dislike of a few players for a few picks. Favre and Plaxico come to mind.. I've got no love for them either but I got both later than they normally would have gone and they're going to lead my team to victory. Victory I say!

I don't know why, but someone with huge shoulder pads booed every pick I made.

My team just got better....found this on another NFL board:

QuoteListening to sports radio here in Charlotte. Stephen Davis will not be suiting up as training camp begins for the Panthers this wekeend in South Carolina. He is still recovering from knee surgery. Also mention that he may be headed to the PUP list. Looks as if he may never be more than a spot back for the remaining part of his career.

Sucks for Davis....great for my second RB, Deshaun Foster.  :yay

How does that help Foster's spaghetti knees?

Spaghetti knees? That's Davis. Foster had a broken collarbone last year.

And blew out his knee(s) a few years ago. He's made out of cardboard. He'll get hurt.

He had a knee injury in 2002!! FOUR seasons ago. Hasn't bothered him since.

Nice try.

But he isn't injury prone. PG said so! It's all lies! A hoax! He's a brick house!

Hey smartass, I never said he wasn't injury prone....I said he didn't have spaghetti knees like you said.
