Title: Da Ali G Show
Post by: hbionic on October 01, 2004, 03:57:26 PM
Sorry if posted before.....but that is one of the funniest shows I've seen. He's pretty farging genius or his writers.

Borat has to be one of the best characters to come along in a long ass time.

Racialist! ;D

Yeah..the studio interviews are great!

I loved this last one where he was at a pro-choice rally....and he asked a priest whether he used 'connies'....or shot blanks.........

or when he started beat boxing to some women singing some song for life(pro choice).....

Andy rooney is a corksucker though.

Racialist.

Well I don't have HBO any more so I haven't seen it in a couple of months but I did think his show was funny but at the same time I always thought that Ali G was kind of a schmuck.

I think Bruno is fargin' hilarious. I was watching a re-run last night when he was in Alabama "the gayest state in America" and he was dancing with the 'Bama cheerleaders and beeing booed by Tide fans. Stupid Alabama :-D He then interviewed Shaud Williams asking him if he had a message for all his gay fans in Austria. "I'm not gay, so don't come looking for me."  :-D

Your telling me you didn't laugh when Ali G went to the Pro Life rally? Or his interview with major douchebag Andy Rooney? Or Bruno going to the gay-converter? Or him talking to the gun-selling guy and kept asking if he was gay?

IN my country there is problem
And that problem is the Jew
They take everbodys money
They dont give it back

Throw the Jew down the well
So my country can be free
You must grab him by hir horns
And then we'll have a big party

If you see the Jew coming
You must be careful of his teeth
You must grab him by his money
And I'll tell you what to do

:-D :-D Funniest moment on TV so far this year

I really liked how he set it up.....by first talking about throwing transport down the well. So, you had no idea what he does doing. Then, out of knowhere, he starts talking about the Jew....and a classic comedic moment is born.

I remember Sasha talking about possible trouble shooting a new season because of the shows popularity, but apparantley its not a problem.

Borat skit almost ensues riot (http://www.roanoke.com/news/roanoke/16655.html)

Good to know he can fool an audience, not just a one on one segment. This is a good sign that season 3 is a go.

QuoteSpeaking in broken English, the mysterious man first told the decidedly pro-American crowd - it was a rodeo, of all things, in Salem, of all places - that he supported the war on terrorism.

"I hope you kill every man, woman and child in Iraq, down to the lizards," he said, according to Brett Sharp of Star Country WSLC, who was also on stage that night as a media sponsor of the rodeo.

An uneasy murmur ran through the crowd.

"And may George W. Bush drink the blood of every man, woman and child in Iraq," he continued, according to Robynn Jaymes, who co-hosts a morning radio show with Sharp and was also among the stunned observers.

.....

Then the man took off his hat and sang what he said was his native national anthem. He then told the crowd to be seated, put his hat back on, and launched into a butchered version of "The Star-Spangled Banner" that ended with the words "your home in the grave," Sharp said.

This crowd didn't get excited like the redneck fargs who got really into the "Jew down the well" bit did, but I'm sure it will be priceless nonetheless.  I love Ali G.

The one from earlier in the year when he goes down to Mississippi to particiate in a wine-tasting thrown by the Kiwanis Club or something is the greatest.  He gets totally cocked, and then starts tell these seniors about how his parents hated him and how beautiful his sister is.  He brings out a photo of a gorgeous woman who he claims is his sister, the seniors are interested, and then he goes through a bunch of other photos of him with the woman he claims to be his sister in all sort of really hardcore poses.  The reaction of the men is priceless.

Another funny one is when he asks a guy running for the House if Borat and his camera crew can accompany him while they canvass a neighborhood.  He does all sorts of crazy things: he asks to crap in some guy's house, he tells another guy to vote for the candidate because he has testicles larger than his opponent, etc.  Loses a little in the description but it is a total pisser.

That guy either has balls of steel or is just a plain idiot.

I like when he is his gay character and he keeps messing with that big redneck and finally the big redneck says "If you call me gay one more time...I am fixin to knock every tooth out of your mouth." :-D

Also when he does the "Back to the Ghetto" or "Train to Aushwitz"

QuoteCohen Prank Offends US Aristocrats

Ali G star Sacha Baron Cohen is under fire for playing a trick on an aristocratic family in America's Deep South, after they failed to see the funny side of his latest race-inspired prank. The British comic, posing as his documentary-maker alter ego Borat Sagdiyev, descended on the impressive home of George Matthews Marshall IV, 75, who believed Cohen was making a film about life in America's southern states. But Marshall and his daughter Heather were horrified when Cohen started implying they were racists. Marshall tells website PageSix.com, "Our understanding was that we were going to have a documentary 'supper' in which they would be learning about the South. We signed a release because we were trusting. Our ancestors have been in this house for 152 years. In that time, we've never had anyone try to deceive us. This turned out to be the first unpleasant episode we have experienced since the (nineteenth century) Civil War. They tried to get us to say we approved of slavery. I was, of course, aghast." Matters spiraled further out of control when the cheeky funnyman introduced a raunchy extra character into the situation. Heather recalls, "Cohen attempted to shock (us) by introducing a black woman who pretended to be a prostitute. She kissed and groped him at the dining table." Marshall adds with disgust, "She was a huge woman, grotesquely dressed." And once the furious family realized they had been tricked, they threw Cohen and his crew out, who "stayed on the property and banged on the door, screaming, 'I do not understand your customs!'" Cohen's publicist Matt Labov says, "I have to give a boring old, 'No comment.'"

According to a writer for the show, there is no season 3 of Ali G. The show is done. Cohen is working on a Borat movie, though.

I hope this is something the writers made up so they could fly under the radar and continue making episodes. Doubt it.

Good to see he's using the SNL theory of taking a popular character and making a movie that's an hour and 25 minutes too long...

If anyone can do it, it's Cohen. He would be writing it, and he's actually funny, unlike the idiots Michaels hires to write Superstar and It's Pat.

Early review of Borat movie (http://www.cincity2000.com/content/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=245&Itemid=29)

Uhh, I think this sums up what to expect:

QuoteThe resulting five minutes feature the most extreme male nudity I've ever had "fortune" to witness, and I'd be shocked if at least part of this scene wasn't trimmed down to get by the MPAA. Let's just say that if you've never seen Borat being 69'd by an obese Slav, you've never lived).

looks good!!
