22-0 loss at home to the Indians :-D :-D :-D
That huge lead in the division is now down to 3.5 games.....
Yet I dont want Boston and their whiny fans to win either.
I want bad things to happen to the Yankees and their fans.
Loaiza, you suck.
lol
Ah yes, September 1, and the Yankees are getting colder while the Cardinals just get hotter. Life is good 8)
Go Red Sox!
how are the sillies doing these days?
lol. everybody's a red sox fan now, huh???...:-D :-D
careful...you don't know what you're getting yourself into. :-D

farg the Yanks!! Maybe they can go on a nice 10 game slide and miss the playoffs.
lol. i doubt it.

c'mon hunt....you know the Philly fan credo: root for the local team first....then bash the cocky teams like the Yankees and Lakers when the local team is hopelessly out of it.... >:D :'(
I was rooting for the Red Sox last year. But this year I don't know if I can because they have that dumbfarg Tito Francona managing them.
I was hoping the Orioles would jump out of nowhere. Good job, O's. :boo

just for the fact that it may give ed wade the worst case of diarhea known to man...i would like to see the red sox and cardinals in the world series, with Mike Timlin, Terry Adams, Curt Schilling, Marlon Anderson, and Scott Rolen playing...and then have Terry Francona winning a WS with the red sox....
not that i liked francona...but think about it, Terry Francona being the guy who wins a world series with the Red Sox...
:-D
oh...how i hope it happens
GO SOX

If you look back at those 1997-2000 Phils teams, NO manager would have come close to .500 with that garbage....
Without Nomar, I have no reason to root for the bloodysox. Go Bombers!!
the yanks won 5-3 last night...where's the topic about that??? ;)
I'm rooting for the Rangers.
Viva la Tejas!

5-3 win does not make up for 22-0 loss. LOL

unless run differential counts in the standings, it sure does...1-1 in their last 2 games.
how'd the sillies do last night???

Yup, kind of like the Phils/Rockies series a few weeks ago. Phils outscore Colorado 22-16 yet lose the series 3-1. :-\
Yeah, but its so much more fun to watch Georgie Porgie get so steamed. :-D
Can't argue with that. :D
winners never quit........quitters never win.

101 years of yankee baseball. 26 world series titles. 1 WS win ever 4 years. thats not even counting the 12 world series' that they lost!
they average 1 world series every 3 years over their history.
meanwhile the phillies are the worst franchise in pro sports (going by wins and losses) and would have to go on a 15 or 20 year winning streak to get to .500 all time.
i really cant laugh at one 22-0 loss for very long once i realize i am a fan of a team that never does anything right whatsoever, kinda silly.

most people can't understand that concept. :P
Don't tell me what I can or cannot laugh at. I'm laughing at the entire Phillies season. Doesn't mean I can't laugh at when Georgie gets all upset and steamed. ::)
perhaps if someone in the phillies organization got half as pissed off at one loss as steinbrenner does, we wouldnt be fans of the most futile franchise in all of professional sports ::)2

This is true. Even though it's always fun to root against the Yankees and Steinbrenner, it still doesn't change the fact that every non-Yankee fan wishes they had him for an owner.
i'm laughing at this entire ridiculous thread.
Stupid Jankees!
9-1...yanks won again.
yankdeez nuts.
Beware Tito Francona, hunt. :-D

And now from a fan of a team that Yankee fans should be very nervous about.... ;)
The Cards have won six straight and are up to a .667 winning percentage :o
The last two teams to finish with that percentage? The 1975 Reds and 1986 Mets. Yep, both won it all 8)
Reminder: Farg the Yankees.
Thank you for your time.
Justin Gatlin threw out the first ball at the Orioles game today, and his mom seems to work for the Yankee Stadium.
Good game today, Spanks. :-D
Only 2 hits against PONSON.... :o :boom
Tee Hee! I sit back and giggle about a 1st place team I'm jealous of while my underachieving team battles for 3rd place. Tee Hee.
You should know by now that we like to laugh at the slight misfortunes of other teams while ours are stinking, hunt. shtein, something had to help us Iggle fans survive the Dallas run in the 90's, right? We got great joy laughing at Leon Lett's blunders. :-D
I saw someone reading this thread--hi Guest!--and I just had to drop in to remind you all that the Yankees suck.
Rooting for the Yankees is like rooting for Wal-Mart vs. the local market. It's like supporting the Cowboys or the Lakers. It's about empire and manifest destiny, social darwinism and bullying.
Farg that. Yankees suck.
Cue mhunt's hissyfit.
haha....I remember that 22-0 game. Good times...
You don't always get a lot of good news blurbs on Steinbrenner, but here's one:
Steinbrenner praises student's efforts (http://msn.foxsports.com/mlb/story/5330322?CMP=OTC-K9B140813162&ATT=49)
